Praia Verde Boutique Hotel - Design Hotels

"We are just travelling to the airport and back to the rain of London after four nights in Octant Praia Verde. It was a fabulous break with balmy, sunny days staying at a fabulous hotel. We had been advised by friends who live in Lisbon that Algarve hotels could be hit and miss but they highly recommended Octant hotels. They were right. We were staying in a suite on the fist floor (or floor 0) in the newer Praia building which looks out on the heated swimming pool. There was a large balcony which caught the sun all day. The room was luxurious and a very relaxing place to be. It was a mixture of soft browns and taupe and true to its terroir. The hotel as a whole flowed well and had an attention to detail and level of service that you tend to associate with Asian boutique hotels. There is just one restaurant which serves breakfast and the evening meal. Breakfast was excellent and dishes such as the octopus and black rice was perfectly cooked and put together. The gym was small but well equipped and my eleven year d daughter was delighted to be able to use it (under 14s accompanied by an adult). The beach is a five minute drive away and the hotel uses a tuk tuk or van to ferry guests to and fro. The beach is wide with white gentle sands and in October pretty empty. There is a new wooden boardwalk which allows you to walk easily between beaches and towns. We will definitely be back again and if we stay longer would rent a car to be able to explore the area more easily."

"What a fabulous hotel! Amazing sized bedroom suites, delicious breakfast, fantastic pools, inside and out and a wonderful beach a 10 minute walk away from the back of the hotel! But of my goodness, the staff are something else! So kind, friendly, polite and beyond helpful! A really lovely experience. Will definitely return!"

Customer experience is clearly the top priority here; from check-in to check-out, every member of staff we met made us feel extremely welcome and well-cared for, without that level of service ever once feeling intrusive. I came to Octant Praia Verde in need of a break after some stressful times this year, and the week I stayed here felt like a complete reset of my system! I honestly almost cried when checking out and I very much hope to come back again."
