Algarve holidays

A sunkissed, laid-back Algarve spot

Offering sun, sea and sand, it’s no wonder holidaymakers flock to the Algarve – and Altura holidays offer the best that the area has to offer. This low-key seaside resort is a little quieter than some, making it ideal if you want to unwind and catch some rays in a calmer beach spot. And while the scope for sunbathing and beach lazing at pretty Praia da Alagoa is spectacular, days can be spent strolling along the seafront or exploring the nearby coastal lagoon.

If you fancy something more active, there are masses of water sports to try, including snorkelling, scuba diving and windsurfing, as well as some great golf courses. Or you can just potter around Altura’s cute farmers’ market. Evenings on holidays to Altura are best spent at one of the bars and restaurants that line the beach, enjoying supper, cocktails and excellent sunsets. Things don’t get much more blissful than this.
