Ventus Rosa Self Service Apartments

"⭐ Absolutely Appalling Experience – Would Not Recommend Ventus Rosa, Kraków Our experience at Ventus Rosa in Kraków was nothing short of a nightmare from the moment we arrived. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived in the early hours of the morning. We had booked what we believed to be a 4-star hotel, but it quickly became clear that this was far from the experience we expected. There was absolutely no information provided on how to access the property. Thankfully, our taxi driver called on our behalf and managed to obtain the instructions and key safe code. We then had to climb six flights of stairs with all our luggage, only to discover there was no key in the safe! Back down six flights we went to call the number displayed on the wall on level one. After waiting for someone to appear, we explained the situation. He eventually found a key, so we climbed all six flights again, only to discover that there were already other people staying in our room! Back down the stairs we went yet again, only to be met with someone repeatedly saying, “Oh, that’s strange.” We were eventually given another room, but this had single beds. After all that stress and confusion, we finally got into bed at around 3am. We had also booked breakfast for the following morning. Surprise, surprise — it never arrived! When we called to ask where it was, we were told it had been left outside the room occupied by the other guests. By this point, we had completely lost faith in the place, so we gave up and went out to find somewhere to eat and enjoy exploring Kraków. Things got even worse. Early that afternoon, while we were out on a tour, we received a phone call telling us we needed to return to the property to move into our original room. We came back, transferred all our belongings, and headed back out, assuming that at last everything had been sorted. How wrong could we have been? When we returned later that evening, we discovered that all our belongings, including our passports, had been dumped out in the corridor! Once again, there was no key in the key safe. We called again, and yet again, nobody seemed to have any idea what was happening. We were simply told to go back to the room we had been given the previous night. Absolutely unbelievable! The complete lack of organisation, communication and basic management was shocking. At no point did we feel that anyone was taking responsibility for the situation or making any genuine effort to resolve the problems. What should have been a relaxing city break turned into unnecessary stress, endless trips up and down six flights of stairs, missing breakfast, room mix-ups and the distress of finding our personal belongings, including our passports, abandoned in a corridor. I would strongly advise anyone considering staying here to think twice. We certainly would not recommend this place to anyone. It is such a shame because we have absolutely loved exploring Kraków and would happily return to this beautiful city. However, we most definitely would not be returning to Ventus Rosa. A holiday accommodation provider should offer basic organisation, security, communication and somewhere to sleep without all this chaos. Sadly, our experience fell well below even the most basic expectations. Kraków gets five stars from us. Ventus Rosa gets one star — and that is being generous."

"The pictures of the rooms do not reflect the rooms themselves, they are extremely dated and in poor state of repair, the mattress was lumpy and you could feel the springs, the small shower room had an ever present smell of sewage, there where bare wires where a wall light was missing and if we opened the window the smell of smoke from the apartment next door came in as they would lean out the window to smoke cigarettes ( i guess because they didn't want to have to walk down and then back up 6 flights of stairs to have a cigarette). Our room 301 was at the top of the building and took 6 flights of stairs to reach with no lift. The only redeeming quality was that it was clean and reasonably quiet."

"Stayed at Ventus Rosa Apartments in September 2026 for 7 nights with my husband. The apartment is A SELF SERVICE apartment…. Which a lot of people who book; don’t realise. You have to follow the instructions and contact the apartments for the door codes and key box codes. Breakfast is delivered to the door around half 7am, and you have to text them before 6pm to advise them of which breakfast box you want for the next morning. They were very polite and very helpful. The apartment itself was tidy and clean. We were in the second floor. There are no lifts and the decor was in keeping with the area “Old Town”. The beds were single beds (annoying 🤣🤷‍♀️) but not the worst thing. I would suggest that there are more pillows put in the room cupboards for those people who prefer to have more than one. There was also a weird smell in the bathroom; but it think it was just a bit damp… as I’m not sure when the room was lat at used. We also had a rogue wasp what kept visiting lol. 😂 All in all we had a lovely week and the room was fit for purpose."
