Rajska Residence

"Arrived at 11 am, called number on the door entry to let them know we had arrived. Told room would not be ready till 2 pm ( which we expected) told we could leave our luggage at sister hotel 30 min walk away as the Rajska residence has no left luggage facilities! When we did get in using the door code and then room code, initially room looked nice but on closer inspection bathroom floor had long black hairs on it ( definitely not from me or my partner as I have short grey hair and partner is almost bald) Looking round the kitchen area we could only see a kettle and a coffee machine which looked a bit grubby. two cups two small tumblers one very small wine glass and two ring hob and that was it. No toaster or microwave which even in cheaper establishments are standard, not even a chopping board or dish towel. Looking in the wardrobe there were 4 hangers, not really sufficient for 2 people for 5 days. There was a full size ironing board which was a plus but unfortunately difficult to use as the iron was attached to the board presumably to stop it from being removed from the room. A polite notice asked to keep the room tidy it would help if a brush and dustpan was provided! Next morning was an experience as more water came out the shower attachment lead than the shower head and on our last day the actual knob that turned on the water fell off leaving me to struggle with hot running water as I had to screw it back in place! The main door code worked all the time but we had to phone at 11.30pm to get a new code to get into our room as it didn’t open with the original one. This one didn’t work either and if it hadn’t been for the guy who was there to pick up the laundry (who couldn’t get it to work either and was able to explain this in Polish to the guy on the phone) we may not have got into our room at all . We were then given a key for the rest of our visit. Check out is 10 am but pick up for airport was not till 7pm and again with no facilities to leave our luggage we would have to take them to the Red Brick hotel and then all the way back fir pick up for airport as the number I was given for taxi to try and change pick up was unobtainable. Fortunately the hotel round the corner let us leave our luggage in their secure room with no charge. Life savers is 10am but our flight"

"On arrival looked ok. Supposed to be self catering ? 1. No oven 2. No toaster 3. No chopping board 4. Kettle leaking 5. Coffee machine needed cleaned 6. Had to call sister hotel to put heating/ air conditioning on,as no controls in room. 7. Only 4 coat hangers in wardrobe. 8. Room entry code stoped working on day 2. 9. Bad smell coming from bathroom sink (drain). Absolute Shocker!"

"Room was clean, sister hotel the red brick hotel allowed us to keep our luggage there while we wondered around on our last day and is only a 20 minute walk. It’s was mine and my partners first time away and would definitely recommend this hotel."
