"Overall:
The hotel was very reasonably priced, around £200 for four nights, which was the main attraction for me. The tram stop outside is very convenient as it’s a very short trip into town. The hotel was a little bit disappointing in a few areas, but if you can get it as cheap as I did, its convenience and value outweighs these issues. I would definitely stay again for a similar price.
Cleanliness:
The room itself was clean, but I found the shower perhaps in need of a deep clean. The tiles were clean but the cement in between was badly stained and yellowing. Furthermore, there was a bit of a smell coming from the shower drain, but nothing too strong.
Amenities/facilities:
The air conditioning worked well, the bed was comfortable, and the decoration was quite modern. As many other reviewers have said, tea, coffee, and water facilities are outside of the room in the corridor, which is a downside. There is no mini-bar or fridge in the room, which I personally didn’t mind, but I was surprised to see there was no safe.
There were some scuff marks on the wall in my room which could be easily removed.
I found the room I was in mostly quiet enough. I slept soundly, but you can hear doors opening and closing in the corridor, which may wake up a light sleeper.
My biggest annoyance concerned the shower, which I found impossible to adjust the position of. No matter how many times you move it, it automatically points its stream directly at the side wall, making showering very difficult.
Service:
I was met with a friendly greeting and checking in was quick. Housekeeping, however, was a slight disappointment. You are told that because of eco-friendly practices they only change sheets every three nights, but that you can request new sheets free of charge if you do so by 18:00 the evening before. I did exactly this after my first night. The front desk said ok and noted my room number down. Anyway, I came back to my room the following evening to find that while housekeeping had come in my room to remove rubbish from the bin, my bed was not made, nor were there new sheets.
Housekeeping regularly took away my rubbish, which was good, but I was disappointed that my request was not met. They did change the sheets, as promised, for the final night."
