"High quality hotel in a quiet area. Places like the river, cathedral and market square very short walking distance. Staff very friendly, helpful and professional. Rooms and public areas decorated to high standard. Staff helped us book trips taking the effort out of traipsing round sellers. Good choices at breakfast."

"A wonderful stay at Hotel Golden Queen. Could not fault anything. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Rooms were lovely, modern and stylish, bathroom the same and everything including the communal areas was immaculately clean. Excellent air con or heating and easy to use digital panel. Breakfast was good but there are several cafes near by if you prefer different cuisine. The location was perfect, in a quiet road but just a short walk away from the castle and river in one direction and the main centre in the other. I would highly recommend a stay here."

"What a lovely hotel. Very understated on the outside but lovely and quirky on the inside, integrating the old with new decor. It is located a few minutes walk to the river and the Wawel Castle and about ten minutes walk into the main square. But tucked just off the main area in a quieter part of the town. If you like walking it's also approx 30 to 35 minutes walk to Shindler's museum and about the same distance to the main train station. All of the staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room we had was on the first floor facing out onto the street but it was so quiet we never heard a sound. Our room was perfectly fine for what we needed. Nice fresh and clean and in excellent condition. Good sized bathroom and high pressure shower with plenty of hot water. Room cleaning is optional, which I think is a fantastic idea, and if you feel it's not necessary on any particular day and choose to opt out they will leave a little treat outside your door for you. Breakfast suited us both fine with tasty fresh omelettes available as well as buffet options. Overall a very enjoyable stay in the Golden Queen, definitely one for us to revisit."
