"Excellent location for train station (20minutes walk), Old Town (5minutes), Wawel Castle (15minutes), Jewish Quarter (25 minutes). Reception staff very helpful and friendly- gave us a street map on arrival and advised how best to get to Old Town. We were in Room 202- beware the 2nd floor as lift doesn't stop on this floor- wasn't that big deal for us as we had small hand luggage cases and so they weren't too difficult to manage. Our room was at the back of the hotel and was very quiet. It was superior twin room and so had slightly more room in it. Very clean and exactly like the photos. Fridge and safe available in the room. Plenty of storage for clothes. Even hooks on the wall beside the door for our coats. Walk- in shower in bathroom- lots of hot water and good water pressure- only issue may be that shower is quite small. The outside temperature in krakow had suddenly plummeted to near freezing at night, so we asked reception how we could turn the heating on in our room. Unfortunately he informed us that the heating in Poland hadn't been turned on yet but offered us extra blankets, which we availed of- actually sitting with them wrapped round us whilst in the room. It would have been nice for the room to be cosy- as other parts of the hotel seemed to be- namely the restaurant.
Breakfast was well-stocked and very large choice. Remember it is continental so a lot of salads and eggs and vegetables! There was no bacon - but multiple different kinds of eggs! One staff member in particular in the breakfast area was rather unpleasant and seemed like the customers were an inconvenience! her attitude was very surprising as every other staff member was very pleasant.
Would recommend this hotel for convenience but if travelling in cooler weather- maybe bring a hot water bottle ;)"
