"I've got to tell you, as a girl from the States this hotel was absolutely life changing! First of all, breakfast is included and delicious each day and you can get as many mimosas as you want. After that, you can hop back in bed with your mate (or whoever you happen to be with at the time) until you are ready to take on Krakow. Everything is close by from castles to rivers to gelato to live music. The staff here are top notch and quenched my amaretto thirst from the moment I arrived. 10/10 recommend this gem to everyone who can stay here!"

"Visited in June 2026, we found the hotel ideal for what we needed. The location was excellent, within walking distance of Wawel Castle, the main square and Kazimierz. Our room overlooked the restaurant courtyard; no view, but it was quiet. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice, and all made to order. There’s no bar in the hotel, but there are a few nearby. This place works well for anyone looking for a central base with quiet rooms and a good breakfast."

"We had a truly wonderful stay at Balthazar Design Hotel. The room was stylish, comfortable and thoughtfully decorated, and the location is simply perfect: just a few minutes' walk from both Wawel Castle and the Old Town, so everything is within easy reach. The service was excellent from the very first moment. The staff were attentive and welcoming, and it's the little extras that stand out – like the welcome drink in the room and the thoughtful touches throughout our stay. The food at the Fiorentina restaurant deserves a special mention. The steak was quite simply the best I've ever had, and the breakfast was just as lovely – a perfect start to the day before heading out to explore the city. We would happily return and wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone visiting Kraków."
