"Montenegro scenery, it was truly one of the most beautiful countries I've visited.
The pictures often don't do it justice, we went on a few boat rides and you could just sit there and not help but admire the views, stunning scenery.
Our room was clean and spacious and we only really slept in there and chilled out before getting ready to go out in the evening.
We mixed it up between trips and hotel days and every day seemed really different, I think they've taken a lot of feedback on board from previous visitors because they really tried to cater for all ages and there always seemed to be something going on.
The atmosphere seemed quite relaxed, there were lots of loungers on the beach and if we wondered over to the pool sometime after breakfast there were still loungers round the pool.
There was one day when the annual swim across the bay (about 2.3km) took place and I’ve posted a picture, there were people from aged 10 to very old, it looked nuts!
You could hire bikes with a helmet and a lock from reception for €12 for the day and we cycled into Herceg Nowi just to check it out, that was really fun, just mind the hill.
We took a boat ride round the Bay, Lady of the rocks, Kotor, Perast, about 8 hours for €45 and it was a brilliant day.
We also booked a taxi to take us to Dubrovnik in the morning and collect us in the evening. I loved game of thrones so seeing the castle and the ramparts and then going up the hill was a real highlight.
The only warning here is that the border can be a complete nightmare, our driver had local knowledge and we saved hours, but it could have been an ordeal and we got lucky.
I've got to give credit to the staff, because for me this was probably the friendliest hotel I've stayed at in living memory, they worked hard.
I have to give Sara on pool bar credit because I'm not one for writing reviews normally and she asked me why do people say they are going to leave a review and then don't, it would be nice to get a little positive feedback, so, I made a deal only if I got a nice photo to post along with the review I'd try to write a review properly for once, she won, I kept my word.
Tijana Guest relations, I think this is a tough job because normally people only come to complain about things but she had lots of useful info and was so positive, such a nice person.
Hotel reception staff, we had a couple of occasions where we and our friends had some potentially serious issues and they really helped, one of the girls rang round for god knows how long to find an eye specialist for my friend, it was so appreciated.
Dragana, was one of the managers in the restaurant, she was a fountain of knowledge, just a really interesting and friendly person to speak to.
Aldo, Milos. Both lovely people and always had a smile and time to say hello even when it was manic.
Janko, Milica and Eliza. The best views were from the rooftop bar, if you got lucky with timing the sunset the pictures came out and almost didn't look real, it was always really popular and you had to time it right to get a seat. They were lovely to speak to and had the best view in the hotel.
Janko has been bar tendering for 16 years so he could make some really nice drinks, impressed me by making a flaming negroni. I’d sometimes go up a little early to reserve seats and chat to him, drinking, admiring the amazing view.
Anjela on beach bar in an evening, always so happy
Alexsander on grill station cooked everything perfectly and was really friendly.
Viktoriya was so talented, would often cook the food right in front of you on the specials station and always had the biggest smile.
Moha ran the restaurant so that there was always fresh food coming out and the quality was high, he was very proud of his team.
Esfir ran many of the fitness classes and was amazing.
There were other people who I didn’t catch their names but I can only apologise.
Final word for the entertainment team. When these guys were on their day off the whole atmosphere changed, they had so much energy, they were amazing.
Omar, Adam, Mickie, Lido. They could perform, dance, organise events, make jokes and perform magic, they even worked as croupiers on Casino night, Absolute legends.
Omar had his birthday the day before mine, I hope he had as good a birthday as I did.
Nicholas did the Fakir show amongst all his other work very talented man.
Final word goes out to a lot of the other guests that were there, we met and spoke to lovely people from Sweden, France, Poland, England North and South and Scotland and because we’d participated in events together for a bit of fun and I don’t know if we were just fortunate with timing but the atmosphere was really chilled , we got to meet some lovely families who made our stay even better."
