"We stayed at this hotel at the end of January for three nights for a short getaway with my parents, and honestly, we had such a lovely time. Even though the weather in Malta was quite windy while we were there, the hotel itself was beautiful and made the trip really enjoyable.
Our room was modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean. We really appreciated how flexible housekeeping was, and the sustainability approach was clear and well thought out. The signage around towels and cleaning made it easy to choose when services were needed, which felt thoughtful and environmentally responsible.
Because we enjoyed the hotel so much, we did notice a few very small things that could be improved purely for the hotel’s benefit. The TV service wasn’t great and flickered at times, and the lights nearby also flickered occasionally, possibly due to the strong winds while we were there. Another minor issue was the fridge being housed inside a cupboard with limited ventilation. We noticed it became quite hot, including the surface above it, until we left the cupboard door open. Improving airflow here would be beneficial both environmentally and practically, as it would reduce energy use and wear on the appliances. None of these were deal-breakers at all, just small suggestions because the hotel is otherwise excellent.
The food was a real highlight. On our first night, the buffet wasn’t open, so we ate in the restaurant and had a gorgeous three-course meal. Portions were very generous, the food quality was excellent (the Caesar salad and the carbonara were great!), and the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Breakfast was buffet-style with a wide range of options from hot cooked items to fruit, yoghurt, and cereals. Over the weekend the dinner buffet was also open with plenty of choice, including traditional Maltese dishes like rabbit stew. There was something for everyone, whether you’re a picky eater or more adventurous with food.
The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely lovely, warm, helpful, and welcoming. We also really enjoyed the live music in the evenings in the lobby, which created a relaxed and elegant atmosphere. The coffee at the lobby bar was excellent too, especially the cappuccinos, and very reasonably priced.
The hotel is in a quieter, more remote location (you can see the island of Comino, and you are close to the port for the ferry to Gozo!), so I’d recommend hiring a car, which we did. Parking was available (especially as it’s off-season), although it was noticeably busier at the weekend. The sea views are stunning, and while we didn’t have a full sea-view room, we could still see the ocean briefly. One thing that would be an amazing addition would be a rooftop or shared viewing area, as the views are so beautiful and currently only fully accessible from sea-view rooms. A rooftop terrace would really elevate the experience for all guests.
We also used the indoor pool in the mornings, which was great, though a small changing area nearby would be a nice improvement. The hotel itself is calm, well maintained, and beautifully designed, with lots of plants and lovely spaces to walk around. There’s also a small gift shop, which was a nice touch for souvenirs.
Overall, we absolutely loved our stay and would 100% return, especially in the summer season, I can only imagine how stunning it must be with the outdoor pools and sunshine. A genuinely relaxing, well-run hotel with fantastic food, wonderful staff, and a great atmosphere."
