"I don't understand the buzz from several american visitors. The hotel is officially rated as 4* Superior. And it's not more than this. Location is 5*, service varies between 3* and 5*. Rooms also vary regarding details (if you apply a european view) : rusty door hinges, mold within the windows etc. And the breakfast (again mostly praised by american visitors) is only european standard, certainly underwhelming compared to other other SLH locations. In the end it's a standard venetian hotel with a perfect location. Pricing follows the location, not the quality."

"Sina Palazzo Sant’Angelo was an excellent choice for first-time visitors like us. The location is ideal — close to major attractions such as St. Mark's Square, Gallerie dell'Accademia, and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection — either by a relatively short walk or a quick vaporetto ride if you’re tired. There are also many good restaurants within a 10–15 minute walk. Our suite overlooking the Grand Canal had a spectacular view and was very comfortable, with a sitting area, king bed, excellent air conditioning, a Nespresso coffeemaker, and a jacuzzi/shower combination. There was also a small balcony — enough room to step outside and enjoy the view, though not large enough for chairs. Storage was fine for a typical stay — closet plus a small dresser — though dedicated clothes horses should pack strategically. The staff was extremely friendly and exceptionally helpful with advice and information, no matter how trivial the question. Breakfast was served each morning either in the breakfast room or on the outdoor patio, weather permitting. The offerings were the usual European fare: cheeses and cold cuts, assorted fruits, cold cereals, croissants and rolls (both plain and sweetened), pastries, plus warm breakfast items including scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, and potatoes. The hotel is also just steps from the Sant’Angelo vaporetto stop, making it easy to explore Venice and beyond. All in all, it was a very good stay, and we would return in a heartbeat."

"My wife, teenage children, and I just returned from attending a family wedding in Venice, where we stayed 7 nights at Sina Palazzo Sant'Angelo. We cannot say enough good things about this hotel. First and foremost, everyone on the staff was amazing! They were friendly and accommodating, and really went out of their way to take care of our every need (e.g., ironing shirts, arranging private water taxis, and even providing boxed breakfast for us to take with us on a very early morning ride to the airport when we left town). They made us feel special every day. Thank you to ALL of the staff for making our stay so special! In addition, we enjoyed the hotel itself, which is quiet, clean, and centrally-located in Venice, with a Vaporetto stop just feet from the front door, making travel around Venice quick and simple. Our rooms were amazing and surprisingly spacious. Each day we enjoyed the yummy breakfast on the back patio, and also took advantage of the outdoors just outside the front door along the Grand Canal, where we enjoyed drinks during a few afternoons. Restaurants and Gelato are just a short walk away as well. We definitely feel that the hotel was well worth the price we paid, and HIGHLY recommend it!"
