Perfect Venice Hotel
"In my recent journey through all of Northern Italy, this hotel, in a quiet square, seconds from San Angelo vaporetto stop, stands out as a gem. Far from the crowds, it is only a short walk to get anywhere. My room overlooked a small canal, and was perfectly appointed. The staff could not have been more helpful. I have been to Venice several times - it’s my magical city. The Hotel de l’Alboro made this trip one of the best I’ve ever had."
Absolute Perfection in Venice—They Truly Care About Their Guests!
"If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! Hotel de Alboro is a gem—I cried when I left because it felt like leaving family. I’m not sure why it’s only 3 stars; it’s excellent in every way, and my husband already says this is where we’ll stay when we come back. The price is very reasonable. Location is perfect: just 30 meters from Sant Angelo port, so easy after a long trip. It’s right in the heart of everything, but our room had a quiet canal view and lovely terrace. Our room also had huge, ancient original doors with stunning glass work opening onto the terrace—truly magnificent! The building keeps its historic beams and charm, but everything inside is brand new, clean, and pristine. The decor is simple yet elegant, and the lounge area with canal views is so welcoming. The lift was a lifesaver for my bad knee, too. I loved the shower with both fixed and handheld heads—such a treat since we only have a bath at home. The bathroom window overlooked the canal, and best of all, it never smelled bad here like some places in Venice. Hearing gondolas go by quietly was lovely. The continental breakfast is top-quality, and the attention to detail is incredible. The manager checks on everyone, and you can tell they truly care. All the staff are friendly, helpful, professional, and call you by name—making you feel right at home. Special shout-outs: Samuel helped us order food on the first night when we were stressed and the website wasn’t working—he came to our room, translated, and walked us through it. Marco was a hero when my knee went wrong; he found us an affordable wheelchair during carnival (no easy task!) and always held the door for us. Martina kindly offered to return the wheelchair for us. Anything we needed, they took care of it immediately. I’m obsessed with ice, and they delivered—an ice bucket with lid and tongs every day, even bringing more in the middle of the night if I needed it. They also recommended great local restaurants where you are welcomed graciously & the food is excellent. They went the extra mile for special occasions: chocolates and a card on Valentine’s Day, and a chilled bottle of Prosecco with a birthday card for my 50th—so unexpected and kind after a tough day with my knee. Rooms are cleaned daily, and the price is so reasonable for the quality. I have nothing bad to say. This place feels like home, and I can’t recommend it highly enough!"
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel de l’Alboro! The location is absolutely perfect—easy to get to and ideal for exploring the city. The room and the entire hotel were spotless, very comfortable, and beautifully maintained. The staff truly stood out: everyone was fantastic, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We especially appreciated receiving a very helpful email the day before our arrival with clear instructions on how to get to the hotel, which made arriving in Venice completely stress-free. Highly recommend and would happily stay here again! ☺️"
