"We arrived to a warm welcome from the pleasant and friendly staff. The hotel is in a great location, and our room was clean with good air conditioning. There were, however, several disappointments. Although our room overlooked the canal and had a nice view, it was very noisy at night due to the restaurant below and people walking past, even with the shutters closed. The room, bed and bathroom were all very small, and there was only one chair in the room. The tea and coffee facilities were also disappointing. Only one sachet of tea and one of coffee were provided, with no milk, so we had to go to a shop to buy some. We also took a few extra tea sachets from the breakfast room, but these were removed by staff while we were out, which felt rather unnecessary. In the bathroom, only one very small bottle of shampoo/body wash was provided each day to be shared between the two of us . A refillable dispenser attached to the wall would be a much more practical and environmentally friendly solution. There was also very little space for our own toiletries. Breakfast The freshly made coffee was very good, and we appreciated the fresh fruit salad. However, there was a limited choice of healthier cereals, with no bran or muesli available. The quality of the bread rolls and pastries did not particularly appeal to us. The usual cold meats, cheese, bacon and eggs were provided, but the toaster was very strange — it was actually a sandwich toaster, and it took around 10 minutes to toast two slices of bread. We also found the breakfast room's table arrangement rather uncomfortable. The tables were positioned in a row with very little space between them, making us feel cramped in with other guests, and it created an atmosphere more reminiscent of being back at school than being on holiday Finally, there was a sign on the wall reminding guests not to remove food from the breakfast room. We found this rather off-putting and unfriendly. Overall, the friendly staff, cleanliness, location and air conditioning were positives, but the small room and bathroom, nighttime noise, limited facilities and uncomfortable breakfast-room arrangements detracted from our stay."

"Stayed three nights. Prompt check in, very little communication from front of house, they did give us a map when I asked for one. Room basic but functional, we were in 105 which had a larger bathroom. Room had TV, safe and a hair dryer in the bathroom. Breakfast is limited, one coffee machine, juice, yogurts , croissants, hams etc and a standard toaster with only six small tables. Location of the hotel is fantastic, close to the main sites. I would recommend based on the location and the functional room."

"First time in Venice - we stayed in room 201 for 2 nights. Great little hotel - would suggest trying to stay in the top floor if you can (floor above ours) - it has much cozier feel and the rooms feel bigger. Room 201 had enough room for our family (2 adults and 2 children) - view outside of the canals with nice windows that opened up and let in a ton of breeze and air. Make sure to bring European outlet converters - also, everything had to be plugged in when we got there. Hotel has alot of steps and no elevator except for bags. The hotel is lightly staffed but someone is always at the door to let you in and out (which is great for safety). Our room had a magnet card but others had actual keys which they ask for when you leave each day (kind of weird and other people in our party found it annoying). Breakfast is served daily and was pretty decent. Lots of great restaurants close by and below - we sat and ate along the canal for almost every meal."
