"We booked through Booking and the photos in the listing have nothing to do with the room you get. They gave us a very outdated room, in a separate annex from the hotel (a back alley) and the room was like in a kind of apartment where there was only one other room. It had no natural light and it had a small door that led outside. It opened and you were on the street. Truly a danger. Had we known that the photos they show as corresponding to the hotel are NOT REAL, we would not have booked here. It is truly a scam, and they should be clear about the identification of the rooms. The breakfast was very limited, and one of the women who attended was very rude. She scolded us for sitting at a table for four when there were only two of us, even though it was the only free table available. The man who checked us in was pleasant, but the one who checked us out was truly unacceptable. Disheveled and he attended to us half asleep. On a separate note, the room key has a solid metal keychain that weighs a kilogram. Our experience was very bad, and we do not recommend it. We were scammed."

"We stayed one night in a room on the top floor (attic) which was reached by very narrow, steep steps with no lift. A porter helped with our baggage but as we are both elderly we asked to move to a room on the ground floor the following morning for the rest of our stay which was 7 nights in total. Our new room (600) had a view of the canal. It was spotless with clean towels every day and quality bedlinen. We enjoyed a good breakfast with delicious scrambled eggs and bacon. There was a fridge in the room and a safe with no extra charge. It was fascinating to watch the small boats travelling along the canal but as the room was below ground level there was very little natural light. The hotel is only a short walk from the Alilaguna (Orange line) Rialto stop. It takes approx 50 mins by boat to get to/from the dock at Marco Polo Airport. The location is ideal and there is a supermarket opposite which is a bonus."

"This is a lovely location to access Venice but still feel out of the chaos. Breakfast is the best we had in any hotel in Italy, with the pancakes looking like they came directly out of The Great British Baking Show! Staff was flexible about storing our luggage when we arrived early and it allowed us to see the city without dragging baggage. Rooms and hallways are small - like most of Venice - so watch your head for guests over 5’10”"
