A La Commedia

"We got to our room on a Saturday and I told the guy I needed to do laundry from my time in Ireland and he said “no problem I’ll take you to your room, you’ll fill out a card and pay for it and we will pick it up and do it for you and drop it off just call the front desk when your done filling out the card for the items” cool! So I do all that then call the front desk to be told they can’t do it on Saturdays or Sundays. So that was annoying. Was told we would have a guy help with luggage and show us the way to our private boat when we needed to leave and that didn’t happen, he actually decided to give all of his attention to different residents and leave us worried that our boat wasn’t going to arrive but the boat was late (not their fault) but didn’t communicate that at all and just left us standing their confused because he gave the first boat to the other residents he was helping even tho our boat was scheduled for 7:45 in the morning and theirs was 7:50. With all that said. Communication could have been so much better especially for how much we paid. $800 a night to be irritated. We were also on 3rd floor and had to listen to drunk people partying on the rooftop bar until 11-12 at night while we were trying to sleep. The hotel itself is clean and in a great spot, they just need to tweak their communication a little for me to justify paying or recommending someone to pay that to stay there again."

"The most expensive drinks ever - 30 euro per drink for a sun deck with slow service and plastic grass below your feet. Crazy. Sorry, but this place was excessively expensive and the atmosphere and location does not justify the price!"

"Many thanks to everyone for such a beautiful stay at the Hotel A la Commedia! We have been to Venice many times and this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in! Beautifully appointed rooms, wonderful staff who go above and beyond, great breakfast, fantastic location not far at all from Rialto which was perfect. I would highly recommend this hotel- we can’t wait to come back!"
