"This is a classy hotel, with beautiful interiors and a stunningly lovely garden. We enjoyed wandering through and down every evening to the jetty to watch the sunset. Also lovely to hear a Scops owl which must have been in one of the trees. Staff were unfailingly friendly, polite and helpful. Our relatively early home flight meant checkout before breakfast, and as promised we were given a wonderful breakfast “box” to take away with us. The location is great, just a 3 minute walk from the Alilaguna airport transfer stop (Orange line). For evenings there are lots of nice restaurants within 5 minutes walk. You’re away from the noise of overcrowded tourist areas, but can easily walk to San Marco, the Accademia etc within half an hour. If you’re feeling tired after a couple of days, we recommend taking the hotel’s shuttle service to San Marco."

"A beautiful hotel between two canals. The room was immaculately clean and beautifully furnished; also, blissfully quiet. The wakeup call came exactly as promised -- via knocks on the door, not a telephone call! The lobby is a feast for the eyes, and has much more comfortable seating than is typical of most hotel lobbies -- hence very suitable for a pre-cruise touring group. The included breakfast is a sumptuous feast."
