"When reading reviews of historical centuries old hotels in Venice one should be reminded that they were built in a different era with different standards and expectations. Sloping floors, small elevators (this hotel has one), less than perfect doorways and windows, interesting locks, may be viewed differently by the Marriott crowd. The service was great and information at the front desk was perfect for us as we easily found all of the best sites and gained inside knowledge on ferries and such. It's a small hotel, breakfast available for a price. Put your order in the night before. The location provided plenty on coffee Cafe's and restaurants close by. "

"Great hotel with outstanding staff who were very helpful and friendly. Location is great and if you look out the lounge windows you can see part of the Rialto Bridge and the amazing views of the Grand Canal. Breakfast is good and is served in the lounge. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor of a historical palace (there is a lift), in the Cannaregio area. I would recommend using a water taxi to and from the airport as the walk from the train/bus drop off is around 30 minutes - by water taxi from airport to the hotels’ own jetty is less than 30 minutes. We would definitely stay here again."
