Hotel Mezzo Pozzo

"Very nice old hotel on quiet street, just 5 minutes walk from nearest vaporetto station. Good value for money. Centrally located. Staff very helpful. Just one issue, no lift/elevator (other than stairlift from ground to first floor) and rooms are on 1st, 2nd and 3rd floors.....stairs to 2nd and 3rd floors are very steep and treads are narrow (NB we were told beforehand, but maybe not for folks with fitness issues)"

"I made a booking for this hotel back in September 2022 as we (my wife, 3 kids and I) wanted to go to Venice to see the Carnival. I made the booking well in advance because I know how busy it gets. 3 days before arriving they unilaterally cancelled my reservation and sold the room to someone else. I tried to call them a number of times but they did not answer. I sent them an email, to which they replied and told me that at busy times they do not answer the phone. They told me by email they had sold the room and there was nothing they could do. I have never seen anything like this in 30 years of travelling. Stay away."

"The location is good, and the staff was friendly. One of the main problems was the absence of an elevator. The room was old and small for 5 people, window was broken, the door did not close properly, the furniture was old and broken, the breakfest was very poor, the bathroom floods. The price was similar to another better Hotels. Anyway, try another option."
