Hotel Al Sotoportego

"This is a brilliant place to stay. A few mins walk from Rialto bridge so very easy to to get to from airport or train station!!! Firstly the staff are amazing - Luka who checked us in couldn't have been more helpful - provided a map which he'd marked best places to eat, drink, watch the sunset and how to avoid crowds and gave us a list of some great secret places . The room was divine - we had a double balcony room over looking the canal! So romantic and beailutiful ! it was tastefully decorated , the bed was really comfortable, loads of pillows, fantastic views, air con which was very much welcomed and great coffee! On our check out we were welcomed to leave our bags until we were going and were offered facility to have a quick shower / freshen up and cold water to take with us. Our stay couldn't have been improved. I will be booking this hotel on my next stay!!!!"

"Hidden gem located a few minutes away from the Rialto Bridge. No frills such as reception desk only staffed from 9:30am-3:30pm however this never impacted us. Guys running reception were great & friendly. They provided a map with great places to eat that weren’t tourist traps, and had made a few walking routes for us to maximize our time in Venice. Very personalized and felt unique for us. We stayed in room 3 which was booked as a canal view room. While it was situated right at the front desk, there was some noise around throughout the day as the reception assisted customers, but since it’s such a small hotel, this was not a very frequent thing. The view from this room will make it 100% worth it. The room itself has a modern bathroom, Venetian styled room, fridge, safe, hair dryer, bottles of water and espresso machine. The view though is worth so much more than the money paid for this room. Next time we come to Venice, we absolutely will be staying at this hotel. Thank you so much. This place helped make the trip of our dreams."

"Excellent location and a superb hotel and outstanding staff. We stayed for 4 nights and had a wonder time. The room, facilities, bed and linen were all of the highest quality. Excellent free wifi. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. We stayed in room 3 that was not only spacious and extremely well appointed, but had a very large window that opened for a panoramic view of the canal directly outside. The guys on reception could not do enough to help and welcome you."
