"We stayed for a night along our 10-day road trip through Italy! We drove into the city to drop off our bags at the hotel and then parked about 15-minutes away at the San Francisco parking lot outside of town close to an incredibly long escalator that takes you back up into town. Unfortunately, the keycard the hotel gave us to enter the parking lot didn’t work, so we ended up pulling a ticket from the gate and paying a discounted rate for parking when we left (35EU to 24EU). Also, we’re unsure whether the staff registered our vehicle’s license plate after we dropped off our luggage, so we may be receiving a citation from the city of Siena at some point. Our room (#8) was nice and included a hang out living area, toilet, shower / tub, and bed. We loved the sky lights but didn’t love the very loud AC unit that ran the entire night or the giant window to the shower / bathroom next to the bed; the latter not a big deal, but the former didn’t provide very good conditions for a restful sleep. The location and main areas of hotel were nice. The walk back to our car at the end of our stay was pretty quick (10mins). Overall, the staff was friendly and location was great, but the loud AC unit and potential vehicle fine put a damper on our stay. We would stay again in the future, but would choose a different room and make sure we confirm our vehicle is registered the day we check in, rather than when we check out."

"Our first visit to this stunning medieval town in Tuscany, which features distinctive, beautiful brick architecture and its twice per year Palio Horse race run at the picturesque Piazza Del Campo was magical and somewhat challenging for its hills, narrow ZTL (car restricted) access. We spent a prefect 2 nights here approaching from Florence and were greeted by the warmth and openness of the young helpful staff at the Palazzetto Rosso Art Hotel located perfectly in the center of the old town. The breakfast was wonderfully served by staff, and we felt all needs met and then some. They gave us great suggestions for anything from how to bring the luggage to the hotel safely within the narrow ZTL restricted access, to the restaurants that met or exceeded expectations of Tuscan food (hmmm the steak Florentine!) and the world-beating Gelateria to how to enjoy the town in spite of my honey’s temporary walking issues. And the museum-quality restored building and bedrooms were comfortable and quiet. A terrific B&B."
