"I booked this place because the location is fantastic, and that truly is the biggest plus. The room was spacious by Italy standards, with a fridge and a nice bathroom. Unfortunately, almost everything else was disappointing. The website mentioned staffed reception during certain hours and help with luggage, which is why I paid to change my train to arrive earlier. When I arrived, there was no one on site. I had to call for an entry code and then haul two heavy suitcases up three steep flights of stairs by myself. I knew there was no lift, but the description of “a flight or two of stairs” was very misleading. I never saw a single staff member during my stay. The room was also stuffy, and the only window didn’t actually open for fresh air. The final straw was checkout morning when the hot water stopped two minutes into my shower while I had shampoo in my hair. I called the support number and sent a WhatsApp message, but no one responded. I ended up rinsing my hair with cold water from the sink. No one ever called me back or replied to my message. For reference, I’m a tour operator who specializes in Italy and I’ve stayed in well over a hundred venues across the country. I’ve never experienced such poor customer service. This place might work for younger travelers with light bags who don’t mind a fully self-service setup. For me, it felt impersonal and poorly managed, and I would not stay here again, nor recommend it to any of my clients."

"Terrible experience. First, we struggled to get into our room as the self check in did not function correctly and there was no one there to help . The owners never responded to our queries and requests for assistance. Fortunately, a member of the cleaning staff eventually showed up and helped out. Then we had no hot water in the room. The owners took many hours to finally respond to our calls and messages and yet never fixed the problem. When we asked for a (partial) refund, they agreed. However, they have not paid it in almost three months and continue to obfuscate and delay. Yes, it is a good location, but definitely not worth the headaches and nonsense. Best avoided."

"Really rude man. Dodnt answer any calls or messages when trying to get in building to check in. Finally let in to be told room wasn't ready and would be hour and a half. No apology ans he was extremely rude when we dis finally go back to check in. Also tries to convince.you to go to a cafe for breakfast that we found out he owns. Stayed on top floor and you hear pigeons from 5am umtil after 8pm constantly cooing so didn't sleep at all"
