Vasari Palace

"I stayed at the Hotel Vasari in Florence from July 24 to 27 and unfortunately my experience was extremely negative. Before arrival, I had informed the property that I have a disability and need a room completely free of steps. Although this request had been reported in advance, the management of my stay was anything but adequate. On the morning of July 25, around 9:00 AM, the bathroom sink in our room broke. The most surprising thing is that the staff told us that the sink was already defective and that it would be replaced after our stay. I find it unacceptable to assign guests a room with a fixture that, as we were told, already had problems. We were also told that we would be moved to another room, but this change never happened and we remained in the same room despite the inconvenience. To make matters worse, at the time of check-out, while paying the tourist tax, due to my visual impairment I handed over €65 instead of €25; I immediately communicated my mistake to the receptionist, who told me that since he had already put the money away, he could not check, but subsequently, upon my request for a check, it was done and I was told that they only found €15 more than the €40 I had paid. I had the feeling that I did not receive the necessary transparency in the handling of the payment. Overall, I encountered a lack of attention toward the needs of a guest with a disability, unprofessional handling of room issues, and a very disappointing final experience. Unfortunately, I do not feel I can recommend this property."

"A very clean three-star hotel, very close to the station, convenient for visiting Florence on foot (and by car it has a parking lot next door). The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning adequate, elevator and various services adequate. Courtesy in being able to leave luggage after check-out. Excellent value for money in my opinion."

"An evocative environment in line with the city, the rooms clean, comfortable, the breakfast excellent, staff kind and helpful, we even had the possibility to leave our luggage in free storage. An excellent experience."
