The Hoxton Florence

"Had the opportunity of spending a week at the hoxton Florence and all I can say is that I’ve never felt more at home than in this wonderful hotel!! Besides everything being so beautiful design wise, the hotel completely renovated, rooms and bathrooms amazing, but most importantly the staff was unbelievable , they were so caring, friendly and welcoming. It was such an exciting time waking up every morning, having the most delicious breakfast and being greeted by wonderful and lovely Khatia, Francesco and rest of the team, it was truly special for us and they really made a difference during our stay! Even bringing Billy to greeet us, it was such a joy, bringing a smile to our face! I strongly and gladly Advice everyone considering visiting Firenze to stay at this wonderful property, because of the amazing staff they have, willing to go the extra mile to ensure everyone has a great stay, since you walk into the reception, great recommendations on where to eat and what to see, really helpful team, and the location is amazing as well.10 out of 5 stars, wishing of going back and spending more quality moments with Khatia and rest of amazing staff! "Great hotel. Hoxton group is like a poor man's Soho House and there is nothing wrong with that! They could rethink storage in the room, quite a bit of wasted space. The hotel staff have a great vibe and it really feels like they care. This is a 20 min walk into town, but it's quite nice getting away from the hustle of the tourist throng. Easy to get to on the tram from the airport and all for €1.50, you can tap your card."

"Not a 4 star hotel and lacking in many areas - no bathrobes, no slippers, rude staff Matteo at breakfast, telephone in room does not work, replaced phone after compliant also didn’t work properly. Bathroom sink furniture worn out. Missed cleaning on one of our days even though tried to fix it, it ruined our evening after a day out. Corridors in hotel are freezing cold. Room service delivered by rude staff member who demanded we sign the payment slip without asking any questions. Room service food delivered in cardboard boxes, cheap plastic cuttlery, no plates or trays to eat on, just like a cheap takeaway and charged 10 Euro to be delivered to our room in a brown bag. Vinegar delivered instead of oil and other missed instructions with room service. Staff member knocked on our door by mistake one morning and woke us up, etc. We were also left outside in the cold on the first day because we arrived 5 minutes past midnight and the guards didn’t open the door when we buzzed the hotel doorbell. Too many issues; a hotel isn’t just about decor."
