Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio

"Stayed at the Pitti Palace B&B Hotel for 7 nights. Cost including flights and not including transfers....£2200!! This hotel provided the worst breakfast I have ever had the displeasure of eating. I have never been offered a breakfast that was so poor in quality and lacking in variety. The bedroom was backpacker standard, awful bed, nowhere to store clothes or hang wet towels, no full length mirror, the seating was uncomfortable and the noise during the day and night kept us awake for much of our stay. When I mentioned this to the staff, they could not care less and made me feel worse when I was told to book the room directly with them, it would cost £65 per night. I wondered how on earth Easyjet justify charging so much for a so called upmarket holiday. This holiday package should have included transfers from PISA airport to the FLORENCE hotel we were staying at. Cost an additional 65 euro for the shuttle and train fares...airport to Florence railway station and two taxi fares amounting to another 45 euro in total, from the railway station to the hotel. We then had to pay a further 98 euro tourist tax.....this was a very expensive holiday and the expense was completely unjustifiable from Easyjets point of view, IMHO. The flight was a typical Easyjet experience and we have no real complaints about that other than the quality of the coffee and sandwich was awful. However we are convinced we were overcharged for our stay in Florence. The hotel was perfectly positioned for visiting the tourist attractions but the accommodation, food and the noisy environment (building works going on in the hotel while we were staying and the double glazing in the room was inadequate in preventing late night partying and traffic outside from keeping us awake) were totally unacceptable. It was ironic that there were posters everywhere asking residents to keep the noise down...as far as I could tell the residents were fine, it was everything else that was wrong!! "

"I recently stayed at this charming hotel in Florence historic center, and it was an amazing experience. The location is perfect — just steps away from old bridge . The rooftop terrace is absolutely stunning, offering breathtaking views of the city, especially at sunset. The rooms are comfortable, and clean, with that authentic Florentine charm. The staff were always kind and helpful, making my stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Florence! "
