NH Collection Firenze Palazzo Gaddi

"I’m in my room writing this review because I don’t understand what just happened. After a whole day of city walking, I went back to the hotel and headed up to the terrace to relax for a bit. I stood at the entrance of the rooftop for five minutes and no one came to greet me. So I walked in and asked a staff member if I could order a drink. They replied that it was full. I was confused because half of the tables were vacant. I asked if they were fully booked? Then a senior staff member in a dark shirt came over and asked if I was a hotel guest. I said yes and show them my room number, and then I was led to a table. I ordered a mojito and sat there for two hours. No more people showed up. Before I left, I asked if the place was only open to hotel guests. The answer was no, anyone could come. This left me confused. What happened at the beginning? Did you try to turn me away? I've stayed at three hotels in Florence, and this is the first time I've felt unwelcome."

"From arriving to a warm welcome and a glass of bubbles, swift suitcase transfer to our room, the Tivoli has not been anything other than a real treat. The staff make the comfortable, elegant surroundings a class hotel. Just spending time in the bar area sipping well recommended wine and chatting to the wonderful staff was as special to us as Florence itself is. Augustina, Chiara and Antonella are excellent at their job and make our holiday more magical! The rooms was large and cool, with a very comfortable bed and the bedding and bath towels great quality. Great detailed extras like toothbrushes, sewing kit and all a guest could possibly need. Having gluten free and nut allergies were handled so easily with options made available so we could enjoy meals. The chief, Salvatore Canargiu created such delicious gluten free food and even shared a few minutes with us. His passion for the food he creates is infectious. The hotel is a 5 star treat and strongly recommended as a great location for any visit to Florence."

"The Tivoli Palazzo Gaddi Firenze is a beautiful hotel. It is quaint and charming. It is a five minute walk from the train station and about a seven minute walk to the Duomo. It is close to all shopping and restaurants. The hotel is very clean, the housekeeping is excellent, and the buffet breakfast is wonderful. I would definitely recommend staying here on a trip to Florence. You will not be disappointed."
