"We booked a standard room, but unfortunately, our stay was disappointing. The bath plug didn’t work, so we had to improvise with a plastic bag, which thankfully did the job. There was brown mould dripping and visible mould under the shower, which was quite off-putting. The bathroom door didn’t close properly, and although the weather was mild during the day, it was very cold at night. We were only provided with a sheet and ended up sleeping with our coats on to keep warm. When we mentioned this to staff, we were told that hotels in Italy aren’t allowed to turn on the heating if it’s 17°C or above — which may be true during the day, but it was definitely much colder overnight, it didn’t stop raining. The furniture could also use some attention; the drawer knobs came off when trying to open them, and the mattress was torn underneath with no mattress protector, which wasn’t very reassuring. On a positive note, the staff were pleasant and polite throughout our stay. However, the room would really benefit from some maintenance and improved cleanliness. We thought that the hotel had been redecorated since our stay 6 years ago, but it appeared to be just the roof terrace, not the communal areas or standard rooms."

"This hotel exceeded all our expectations! Spacious rooms were packed with amenities, and despite being on the road, it was remarkably quiet. 🏨 The location was perfect – everything was within walking distance, saving us a fortune on taxis and public transport. 🚶‍♀️ Plus, the lifts made navigating with large luggage a breeze. 🛋️ The rooftop views of the Duomo were stunning, making it the ideal spot to enjoy an evening drink. 🌅 The breakfast buffet was impressive, with everything needed to start the day off right. 🍳 The staff were warm and welcoming, and the rooms were immaculately clean. 👌 We'll definitely be back – this hotel is a must-recommend for anyone visiting Florence! 👍🏨"

"We stayed here for a week when visiting tuscany for a family wedding. The highlight has to be the roof top bar & accompanying view, when the bar isn't open you can still sit up there with a book and your own beverage and take in the views. The location is also very convenient and at the edge of a ZTL so you can drive up to the hotel if you need, or tram & train stops are a short 5 min walk away. It took us less than 10 min to walk to the duormo & heart of Florence. You also hand your key back to reception any time you leave the hotel, this wasn't any hassle as we were quick to get it back but not something I have experienced before so a little odd to get used to. The rooms are a little dated but were fine for what we needed, the walls between rooms are paper thin. We were watching TV when we had a call from reception asking us to turn the volume down as a neighbouring room complained, we apologised and did so (youtube ads get so loud out of nowhere!sorry neighbours), but without the noise of the TV we then heard someone in a neighbouring room sneeze, fart and then swear at their own stench. Wouldn't recommend this hotel to a light sleeper. While the hotel itself is fine, we were unfortunately let down by misinformation from the staff. We left our hire car with their valet on the afternoon of Wednesday 20th Aug, whilst doing so we asked to confirm that we'd be able to collect the car around 6am on Friday 22nd Aug, as we had to leave for an early flight in Pisa. We were assured by the lady at reception that we would be able to get the car back from 6, I asked again are you sure or should we collect the car & find somewhere else the night before, she confirmed that we would be okay to get the car back on Friday morning. On Friday we were sad to leave and asked for the gent on reception to request our car for us, and we were informed the garage does not open until 7am. Whilst he was as helpful as he could be at that point, there was little they could do to assist us as the garage was closed and not answering the phone. We were then informed the car was not in the garage sant antonio which the hotel names as their partner on their website (a 3 min walk away from the hotel) but instead was at another garage a 20 min walk away with very poor reviews. This was worrying and disappointing that we had been misinformed on 2 accounts. We were able to walk to the garage and meet the owner opening up who was able to help us get the car earlier than their opening times so all was well however it is a key detail and of concern to me that the staff onsite did not know the details of their partnering garage or even where our car was located at first. I likely wouldn't have left a review at all had we not had such a negative & stressful ending to our stay - though I hope to have been fair in recounting my experience. Tldr; Rooftop bar is wonderful if a little expensive, rooms and breakfast is average or as you expect, & if you are a light sleeper or travelling with your own vehicle I'm not sure this is the hotel for you."
