Hilton Florence Metropole

"We spent 4 nights at this hotel. The staff here is incredible and they were wonderful and very accomodating. The bartenders were exceptional!!! My only issue with this hotel was our room(s) I say plural because we moved to a different room after a couple of nights. The window did not close securely and there were mosquitos in the room. Plus the toilet was a wall mounted unit and every time we used it felt like it could come off the wall at any given moment. They moved us to a different room the window still didn't close so yep more mosquitos. I only got bit a few times! If we knew now what we knew then we most likely would have picked a hotel in town near the historic center. Why? Uber in Florence is kind of new and seriously expensive! Plus with the cab fair back and forth we could have upgraded to a closer location and spent more time "in the downtown" instead of traveling back and forth. I liked the hotel but I draw the line when I have to give blood literally via mosquito!"

"Nice place but with many flaws starting from the room bathroom which has everything in plain sight in the sense that I had to take a shower in the tub because there was no shower but the problem is not this, the problem is that the bathroom door is made of transparent glass and this in my opinion is a big problem when staying in a room with a colleague, you cannot go to the bathroom and be seen as nature made us. Another sore point is that the wi-fi does not connect despite being free, the bed is also uncomfortable, in fact now after only one night I have a backache, I was very disappointed as Joe Bastianich would say, then I found the breakfast to have little variety and not up to the standard of the place, after all we are talking about a Hilton."

"This hotel is in the upper 10% of Hiltons I have stayed at. Its rooms has a convenient shuttle to the tram station to get downtown Florence. Breakfast was very good and the executive lounge on the rooftop is wonderful. Very spacious room and comfortable bed."
