FH55 Hotel Calzaiuoli

"We flew to Florence for a honeymoon without reservations anywhere and we stumbled into this hotel and was immediately greeted with smiles and warmth. They couldn’t have been more accommodating to us during our stay. Every staff member in the hotel was engaging, positive, and helpful. Habiba ran breakfast in the morning and was so welcoming and attentive! She is incredible and a huge asset to this establishment. Every morning we dined in for breakfast she greeted us with smiles, remembered our coffee orders, and made us feel very welcome. The concierge team was also top notch and helped us with anything we needed for getting around town and making dinner reservations. Laura and Vittoria are amazing and went above and beyond for us. I was so impressed with the rooms and the sound dampening quality of the new windows installed. The sounds of the busy streets below just disappear. This place is in a great location in the middle of everything two blows from the duomo and two block to the palazzo vecchio. I would recommend this place to any traveler to the area and we will be back for sure! Thank you for making our honeymoon truly amazing !"

"The location was excellent! It was walking distance to very good restaurants, cafes and shops! It was also walking distance to must-see sites (the Ponte Vecchio, Mercato and the different Piazzas). In cases where you needed to take an Uber, it was very quick to book one from the hotel.The hotel was very quaint-a small functional lobby, a small but very complete breakfast area (not to mention that the breakfast was fantastic with a wide spread to choose from). The room that we booked had very good space, a comfortable bed, a sofa, a desk, lots of cabinet space, an in-room safe, airconditioning (although we requested for assistance because it was a bit warm). The highlight was the view of the Duomo from windows we could open :) To hear the church bells of the Duomo ringing when you wake-up in the morning was so beautiful.Complimentary water and coffee also was always replenished in our rooms. If there was anything, it was that the bathroom was a bit small and dated. I am looking forward to renovations to update the bathrooms. other than that, the hotel's location is it's highlight! Giacomo at the desk was also very, very helpful! So were the other members of the staff at the desk who helped book dinner reservations (for our big group) and transfers. We will definitely consider Calzaiuoli on our next visit to Firenze!"

"Located just a few steps from the iconic cathedral in Florence. Loads of shops and restaurants around. Room has good sound insulation, it is quiet inside the room even when the street outside the window is busy."
