"We really enjoyed our stay at B&B Hotels Smart Hotel Diros in Florence. From the moment we arrived, the reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, and explained everything clearly. We also appreciated the welcome drink, with sparkling or still water available chilled in the mini fridge in the room. The hotel feels very modern, fresh and well maintained, with a stylish interior. Our room was comfortable, with a very good bed and nice-quality linen. We also loved the high-quality bathroom amenities, especially the lovely soaps. The location is in a quiet residential area rather than right in the historic centre, which we actually liked. The centre is around a 20-minute walk away, and several bus lines are within about five minutes on foot. As it was extremely hot during our stay, we used the bus to get to the Uffizi and took a taxi back, which was around €20. A couple of practical points: the soundproofing could be better, as we could occasionally hear voices from neighbouring rooms, although it was never particularly loud. If you arrive by car, there is a car park about a three-minute walk from the hotel. The hotel is close to the edge of Florence’s ZTL, so be careful with the route when driving there. The reception staff are happy to explain how to approach the hotel without risking a fine. Overall, a very pleasant, modern and comfortable hotel, and we would happily stay here again."

"Delighted with this find. Stayed here for 5 days/nights, unfamiliar with Florence. Hotel is beautifully clean and fresh (recent renovation I think) and the location was ideal for us - easy walk to everything but a v quiet residential area, on a wide, tree lined street just round the corner from river Arno, and ten min walk to train station. Nespresso, water and excellent toiletries. Friendly but unobtrusive staff. Kingfisher on river by hotel every morning of our stay."
