"The staff are lovely, they will offer an upgrade for a bigger room when you arrive - it’s only slightly bigger but probably worth it as the “comfort” double rooms are very small, it’s clean it’s comfortable and breakfast is lovely, next to train station SMN and tram plus bus stops so you’ll never be stuck for transport, if you have not booked I advance the queues are very long to see the main attractions but we like rooftop bars and slow days on holiday, so was probably not the best choice for us to go to a very busy (beautiful ) city."

"October 10th to 14th 2026 Very close to train station, but that's about it. Loud thumping noise from some sort of machinery all night, every night, all all hours. Restless sleep. Notify the front desk with no solution. 3 stars at best. Smokers outside the door all the times. Upstairs the smoking patio right next to the elevator with the doors open at all times. Very unpleasant every time you have to use the elevator. Paid for an upgraded room. But the room are very tiny. Even for Europe standards"

"The hotel is conveniently located near the train station and bus station, making it very easy to travel to and from Florence. The city center is about a 15-minute walk away. However, be aware that the area around Santa Maria Novella station is unattractive, with some rather questionable people around, and we sometimes felt unsafe walking there at night. Upon arrival, we received excellent service from Matteo, who offered us a room upgrade. Since we were staying for five nights, we decided to accept it. Even with the upgrade, however, the room was still small, with no drawers or proper storage space, and barely enough room to open two large suitcases. I can only imagine how tiny the standard room must be. The bathroom is terrible: extremely small, with an unnecessary bathtub and a shower with very low water pressure. I complained at the front desk about the poor water pressure, but nothing was done about it. On top of that, the entire bathroom floor gets wet when you shower because the shower enclosure is not fully enclosed. At night, the main lights in the room would randomly flicker on and off, even when switched off, seriously disrupting our sleep. I believe our room was number 312. On one occasion, I needed extra toilet paper, but the staff were unable to bring it to our room, even after I requested it by phone. I had to go down to the front desk myself and then wait another 10 minutes for them to find a roll of toilet paper. The only positive aspect of this hotel was the breakfast, which was good and offered a decent variety of options."
