Albani Firenze

"Stayed 3 nights in the Albani Firenze. Overall our stay was good. The hotel is in a very good location, near train station and other sites. The hotel is old world, not our taste but charming, nevertheless Our room was comfortable, clean, quiet with good amenities. No shower stall. Had to step into bathtub to take a shower which was not very convenient. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. Not sure why others complained. Our biggest complaint was that the room was very warm and stuffy. When we opened the terrace doors to get air, we had many mosquitoes. We complained and got a fan after asking twice, however it was still too warm. The front desk receptionists were not very friendly and welcoming, the same with restaurant staff."

"No Internet available. When queried we were informed that there was no reception because of the numerous high buildings surrounding the hotel. The breakfast is the worst I have had in a long time. There was a minimal selection to choose from and there was no change in choice during our stay of 5 days! The room was cosy to put it mildly! Wardrobe doors had to be closed to enable one to move from the entrance hall into the sleeping area. Same in the bathroom as the door could not be opened if the toilet was in use!! Staff were mainly helpful and the hotel was clean. Convenient central location."

"Unstable hotspot instead of proper wifi. Front staff is cold and unwelcoming The hotel does not gym and the gym is next building another property - very inconvenient."
