"Unfortunately, our experience at the Hotel Adler Cavalieri in Florence was decidedly negative and far from the expectations one has when staying in a property that presents itself as a 4-star hotel. Upon our arrival, we requested the massage service, advertised among the services offered by the hotel. Well, after a full 24 hours, no one has yet come forward to give us feedback, neither to confirm the service nor to provide us with an explanation. A level of disorganization and inattention toward the customer that is truly unacceptable. But that is not all. In the room, there is only one bottle of water, which, once finished, must be refilled independently on the terrace using a water dispenser. A solution that is already not very appropriate for a facility of this level, but the worst came when we asked for sparkling water and were told it was not available. I find it absurd that a hotel that boasts 4 stars is not able to guarantee such a basic service to its guests. The problem is not just the lack of a service or a bottle of water, but above all the total absence of attention, organization, and customer care. When choosing a hotel of this category, one expects professionalism, availability, and a minimum of quality standards which, in our case, were lacking. The 4 stars should represent a level of service and hospitality, not just be a label. A decidedly disappointing experience, which leaves a bitter taste in the mouth and which will hardly lead us to choose this facility again. There is certainly much to improve, especially in managing guest requests and in attention to essential services."

"We stayed two nights here. Our first ground-floor room was damp with sewer odour, and we found cockroaches. The hotel was fully booked so we could not move immediately. We were kindly moved to a better room the next day. We appreciate the staff’s help. The first room ruined the start of our trip. We hope the hotel will improve pest control and check ground-floor rooms for dampness and drain smells."
