Hotel Mare Pineta

"ok, so I'll start with positives. Staff are nice and helpful. Dinner was good, breakfast average. Hotel lobby is nicely decorated and is very clean. Everything outside is dated and needs modernising. This hotel is situated on the worst beach I have ever seen in my life!!!!!!! - it looks awful, smells so bad and you don't see people there. The tenis court? Just see the photo I have attached. We tried to use pool at the flamingo hotel and we were told we are not allowed to use it as they are fully booked. I feel like I paid extra for a hotel with pool and own beach but in reality I didn't get any of it plus the hotel is located in the middle of nowhere, so far to nice beaches or pubs/bars. This hotel is so dull and depressing it's unreal. I just lost money and time there."

"Very nice bungalow-based hotel, with beautiful beach in few meters. Best connection with major Hotel Flamingo, optimal center for conferences. The structure has a swimming pool too and buffet breakfast. Hotel basato su bungalow, con camere nuove e accoglienti. Spiaggia a pochi metri, ma anche una piscina è a disposizione. Colazione a buffet, abbondante."

"We stayed for a week and our experience varied from 'good' to 'not so good'. First the latter; The hotel is rated as 3* and is obviously rather 'tired', what with a few broken paving slabs, most of the outside in need of re-painting, and the pool (although immaculately clean) had just 2 sunshades (1 broken) to serve 17 loungers! On the good side, the location of the hotel is stunning, being at the end of a pine forest and just two minutes walk from the private beach where there were plentiful loungers, sunshades and a clear blue sea. The hotel staff could not do enough to help. Our room was kept spotless and the linen changed daily. The restaurant food was plentiful, varied and of good quality. The local town, Pula, is worth a visit and is just a 10 minute bus ride away. The hotel is a 'sister' to the more luxurious 4* 'FLAMINGO' which is situated a discreet distance away. Having spoken with a few people who had stayed there we rapidly came to the conclusion that we had made the right coice with the Mare Pineta"
