Colonna Resort

"Our stay was particularly unpleasant. We spent the last two nights of our vacation in Sardinia at Hotel Colonna, choosing this property because we were interested in visiting Porto Cervo and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, what struck us most negatively was the total lack of soundproofing in the room. It literally felt like being in the same room as the guests in the adjacent room: every conversation could be heard, even though the neighbors were speaking at an absolutely normal tone. The first evening we contacted the reception to report the problem and we were assured that they would intervene. However, nothing was done and in the end we fell asleep from exhaustion. The second evening the situation repeated itself. We called the reception again and we were told that they would contact the guests in the room next door. After about 15 minutes, however, nothing had changed. We then called the front desk again and, shortly after, we clearly heard the phone ringing in the next room and the guests lowering their voices. We would like to clarify that, poor things, they were simply speaking in a completely normal tone: the problem was evidently the practically non-existent soundproofing. A stay of only two nights that should have pleasantly concluded our vacation turned into a very negative experience. Never again. Ruined vacation."

"All-inclusive according to Tui but they failed to tell the hotel that. The food was meager, tiny portion of pasta, no pizza, all the salad had fish or meat in and I'm vegetarian. No ice-cream at all, barely any fruit, pool snack bar not even open. Coffee and juice machine in dining area didn't work. I lost half a stone!! No bus to local town but you could get a taxi for 60 euros each way if the taxi bothered to show up. But the beach was lovely."

"Unique and special place. It is a shame to have waited for a room to be ready from 11:00 AM to 2:50 PM when the young lady told us at check-in *I will call you as soon as it is ready* On September 20th!! We arrived, checked in, had a massage, and then at 2:10 PM we returned to the reception for the room... nothing! At 2:50 PM, after we got upset, suddenly a room was ready! It is called receptionist NEGLIGENCE! Nobody expected anything, but the total indifference. I understand in high season, but with the hotel half empty at 2:00 PM, a room could have been found. Staff not at the level of a 5-star hotel, with a pool waitress who pats my husband on the shoulder! Two unspeakable virgin mojitos. Honestly, the service of a 5-star hotel is something else...! Perhaps the organization of services and details needs to be reviewed."
