Sentido Orosei Beach

"My initial impression of the Sentido Orosei Beach Resort was positive. The property is set within an attractive, understated rural landscape, creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere on arrival. Our first impression of the room, however, was disappointing. We had deliberately paid to upgrade to a ‘Superior’ room, but although the accommodation was functional, it was unclear what additional facilities or benefits the upgrade provided. When we raised this with the hotel staff, we were advised that the room offered a better view than many others at the resort. While the outlook was pleasant, it did not compensate for the limited floor and storage space. As a result, we spent much of our stay living out of suitcases stored beneath the bed. On a more positive note, the two friendly housekeeping staff maintained our room to a consistently good standard throughout our ten-day stay. The resort occupies a lovely location beside a large, attractive beach that appeared to be well maintained. However, guests wishing to use the hotel’s sunbeds closest to the sea were required to pay an additional daily charge: €20 for the front row and €15 for the second row. This is an important consideration when booking a resort advertised as ‘all inclusive’. Similarly, the hotel required a €20 deposit for each pool towel. Although the first two towel changes were included, subsequent replacements attracted an additional laundering charge. The food was well presented and generally of good quality, although the selection lacked the variety we have experienced at comparable resorts. The drinks offering was similarly limited. The coffee was excellent, as one might expect in Italy, but there was relatively little choice among the other beverages and cocktails available. Guests should also be aware that coffee ordered from the pool bar before 10.00 a.m. incurs an additional charge. The attentiveness of resort staff is an important part of the holiday experience for me. Although everyone we encountered was polite and respectful, there was no table service by the pool or on the outdoor hotel terrace. Guests were required to queue at the nearby pool bar and collect all food and drinks themselves, including water. Overall, the Sentido Orosei Beach Resort provided a comfortable and pleasant stay in an attractive setting. However, the limited room space, restricted food and drink choices, absence of poolside service, and additional charges for several amenities meant that the experience did not fully reflect the level of convenience and inclusivity we expected from an ‘all inclusive’ resort."

"It’s difficult to describe this place, on the whole we had a very nice holiday but things about it are a bit weird. Room; our classic room had a comfy bed and a large bathroom, but the shower gel came in little plastic bottles rather than a pump in the shower? The chamber maids restocked them occasionally but it’s very wasteful. The kettle had nowhere to plug in apart from across the door corridor, so it was a bit dangerous. Restaurant: No hand sanitizer, when I asked about it the maître de pointed to the toilet, I said it is not my hands I am worried about it is everyone else’s who walk around eating their chips, licking their fingers and then handling the utensils! I asked at reception (who had a dispenser) and they said it disappeared after Covid. The water is bottled, no fountains? They ran out of butter one morning. Pool: very large spacious area with lots of beds and umbrellas. We had no problem getting a place although it was September. The lifeguard vanished after a couple of days. Pool bar: Thin plastic cups not just for around the pool but in the evening too (can you see a plastic trend here??) They ran out of whiskey for 24 hours. The bar staff just shrugged, It was only after I complained at Reception that some appeared. Beach: The hotel has its own section to the left when you approach it. Free beds and umbrellas. The neighbouring hotel (same group) has a larger area which was full of very noisy people. There is a beach bar owned by the hotel, but we only get soft drinks, no alcohol, which makes no sense if we are all inclusive at the hotel? The sea was really warm and clear. Entertainment: The entertainment ended on 16th September including the animations during the day but the neighbouring hotel had theirs? There was the same singer every night who was okay but mainly Italian songs. Gardens: lovely gardens including the neighbouring hotel which we walked around in the evening but no gardeners and the grass needed cutting. Area: very isolated, no cafes or shops nearby you need to walk to Orosei which is about 30 minutes. Overall we felt like they were running the place down in time for a winter closure?"

"The hotel staff are very lovely.I would like to mention Aida ( on reception) who was very helpful, friendly and nice . Please let her know Oli is sending kisses for her 😊 Room was standard, food was okay some days very delicious ( veal / beef in sauce ). Location is nice but it depends where you would like to go really......beaches are beautiful everywhere.I liked the smell of the hotel , it was clean 😊, also all those olive trees and flowers all over the hotel.
