Sentido Orosei Beach

"I cannot praise this hotel and staff of this hotel enough all of the staff reception cleaners and staff in the restaurant and bar staff where all fantastic hard working polite and nothing was too much trouble. Food is was unbelievably good fantastic range for every taste vegetarians are well catered for food as five stars Cant thank everyone enough. Only One thing was a downer was the hotel is a bit remote So you need a car, to get about if you need a complete break this is the place for you beach is literally a five minute walk which is beautiful xx unfortunately the train was working while we was there which was such a shame as it was too far for my husband to walk into xx apart from that amazing"

"Lovely hotel, surrounded by gardens and beautiful beach front. Relaxed atmosphere very good for families staff are excellent, very friendly and attentive. Children are very well accommodated and staff are very good with them. Food is good quality although it is mostly Mediterranean and local food. Rooms very comfortable and very clean, and has tea and coffee making facilities as well as a safe and a fridge which has water included. Be aware if you are prone to insects biting you take repellent as there are a lot of insects because of the gardens. There is a small shuttle train that takes you to the town centre costing 5 euros there and back. It only takes 5 minutes, and there is a timetable at reception. I’d recommend the hotel if you like beaches and strolling around the gardens, but if you like lots to do perhaps consider staying near costa smeralda."

"We spent 7 nights at this hotel, so I think I’m able to give a more or less comprehensive review on it. 1. Unfortunately, we got food poisoning from the food here. We don’t drink any alcohol and we didn’t have food anywhere else apart from this hotel. That’s why I’m confident that their food is the problem. Make sure you pack enough anti diarrhea medication, probiotics and such. There is also a pharmacy in Orosei and some medication in Orosei supermarket. 2. I didn’t like that they try to charge you additionally for things. For example, there is no iron in the room and also they don’t give you one. Instead, you have to pay if you want your clothes to be pressed. For one dress you have to pay €15. Crazy right? The sun lounges at the beach are only free starting from the third row. First row - €20 per day for one umbrella and two sunbeds. Even the first row is quite far away from the sea to be fair. The beach towels only the first two changes are free, then it’s 2.50 :) A €20 deposit per towel is required. 3. The toiletries are rubbish, you literally get a tiny bottle of hair wash and body wash. No conditioner, no body lotion. Nothing at all. 4. The furniture seems rather dated in the room. 5. When we arrived in the hotel after a long day of travelling, it was 17.30. We spent three hours at the passport control and didn’t eat anything from 6 am. We came to the bar to ask at least for a tiny bit of food and were told that it’s quite late for food so we didn’t get anything and had to wait for dinner. 6. The table allocation system in the canteen is rather annoying. They gave us a table inside the canteen without even asking us which table we would like. When we asked to change the table to the one on the terrace they did it rather reluctantly. 7. There are many mosquitos in the room and outside in the evenings. 8. People smoke on the beach - I think there should be a designated area for that. After all, there are many kids/pregnant women on the beach who don’t want to put their health in danger as well as other people who don’t want to be involved in passive smoking. 9. All in all, I wouldn’t call it a 4-star hotel, 3 stars would be more like it. It was good, but we expected more. 10. Now some positives: - there is a very beautiful park surrounding the hotel, lots of flowers, interesting trees. Like really, I think it’s an absolutely amazing park. - some of the food is really tasty - there is a boat tour to the Gulf of Orosei from the beach and you should definitely book it (near the reception). You can see many amazing beaches in one day. - The beach itself is clean and sandy, you can see beautiful mountains/cliffs from it. - there is a live singer in the evenings who also plays the piano - the staff is generally great, the waiters and all the people working in the canteen are superb. I can’t even imagine how many hours they spend on feet but they manage to do an excellent job and smile at you as well. All in all, I would definitely come back to Sardinia. Just not to this hotel."
