"We had a fantastic stay at Piccolo Hotel in Porto Ottiolu, Sardinia. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and helpful. A special thank you to Sarah at reception, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and to Alessandro, the restaurant manager, for his excellent service. What impressed us most happened after we returned to England. We accidentally left a wallet at the hotel containing money, credit cards and ID. Sarah and the hotel manager, Patrizia Contu, went out of their way to arrange for our wallet to be safely returned to us in England. That level of honesty, care and kindness is truly exceptional. A huge and heartfelt thank you to Sarah, Patrizia and the entire Piccolo Hotel team. We highly recommend this hotel and would happily return. 🇮🇹❤️"

"Beautiful hotel, very quiet, very clean, and well located. Ideal as a base for visiting many beaches and coves in the surroundings of Budoni and San Teodoro, both on foot and by car, and even by boat (thanks to the super proximity of the Porto Ottiolu marina). Very good food and super courteous and very professional staff (manager, maître d', waiters, chef, cooks, bartender, piano bar pianist, cleaning staff, and all the other workers). A special thanks to Jessica❤️ and Beppe, the ENTERTAINERS who brightened our evenings with games and LOTS OF LAUGHS ❤️ GREAT JOB 💯 Thanks for EVERYTHING ❤️❤️❤️❤️"

"Two excellent weeks at Hotel Piccolo. No complaints at all and excellent value for money. Semi all inclusive but was no problem we were well watered and extremely well fed. Alexandro fronts the restaurant, speaks good English and is very attentive, the wine may be local but never heard any complaints, the food was varied, the meats tender and varied, the veg fresh and not overcooked, salads fresh as from our garden, sea food in abundance and fresh not frozen. Open view kitchen from restaurant and excellent cleanliness and skilled chefs . Only problem was I ate to much! Room had harbour view, had been updated recently, air con worked, bed massive n comfortable and fresh towels every day and room cleaned was spotless. Pool was warm enough, again spotlessly clean and water regular tested , soft covered sun loungers, hmmm> but the parasol bases need making solid so they stay where you put them for shade and although there were 20 many needed repair. Having said that we always found a lounger and shade. Can we have a simple slide bolt in each pool toilet instead of a shared key for both male/female cubicles? Toilets were cleaned regularly. Scenic natural hill views from pool area. Music for sundowners varied, Sylvia excellent talented smooth singer, keyboard guy was very good but other singer was not so good, much to loud to talk across tables, not helped by not setting speakers control correct and mouth to close to mic. Special thanks to Jessica and helpers who took us walking to see flamingo and local beaches and late evening entertainment. She expended more energy in one hour than I did my entire holiday! Yes what a lady! Got us oldies involved as if we were kids! Can walk to harbour in 10 mins( n we in our late 70's) where plenty of eateries, coffee and ice cream parlours. Hmm, beaches had deep sea grass bur it cleared last 2 days hence we used hotel pool mostly. eh, ref previous review, there are NO SQUIRRELS on Sardinia and certainly not on the menu!!There were plenty of nuts for breakfast tho! some translation problem perhaps? Overall had an excellent holiday, good value for money and will probably return next Autumn."
