River Palace Hotel

"Very old fashioned hotel. Small, quint some good things, some not so good Felt a little out of the way. Having to walk a good bit to get anywhere. Branding on point. Beautiful linens and embossed towels and lovely fluffy dressing gowns. Great shower and we had a junior suite and worth upgrading. Very quiet. Some of the rooms looked very small However Breakfast really lets hotel down. Felt like we had been transported into the 1970s Very old fashioned room. Food quality not great. All pastries were hard and had a strange taste. They really need to revamp this area. This is not a 4 star hotel breakfast. Staff always immaculate and pleasant."

"Great location within 2 miles of major attractions. Staff nice and helpful. Breakfast selection great. Getting up to floors required 2 elevators at opposite ends of the building. Shower was most disappointing part of the room - 30”x 30” corner doors. Friends on ground level had circular staircase ti loft but no place for 2 suitcases."

"After reading all the great reviews on TripAdvisor, we came to the River Palace Hotel with very high expectations. From the very beginning, we walked in with four heavy suitcases plus two backpacks. We did not encounter anyone to help us open the front door of the hotel for us. Remember, this is supposed to be a Four - star hotel. Check- in was great. we book a classic double for six days which was very small for the price we pay for in my opinion. The worst part was our room and bathroom were very dirty with a very small shower. our first night, when it was time to go to sleep, we discovered that our bedsheet was stained with what looked like - you know what. Because we were so tired, the next morning, we went down to the front desk. Luckily, l had taken pictures. I was told that the sheets are changed every three days. But keep in mind, this was our very first night at the hotel! The desk manger later apologized to me after showing him pictures of the sheet. This hotel is beautiful, but unfortunately, our room and bathroom were not kept clean as it should have been. the window curtains are very dusty and rug very worst. At one point, we just had to put up with the situation because we were already there and had made our plans. The hotel breakfast staffs were great. Always with a smile. good breakfast for the cost of 18 euro. This Hotel at a very good location. But we will never be back!1!!1"
