Hotel La Residenca

"Vincent at the Front Desk was rude and disrespectful. When I corrected him regarding the number of nights we were staying, he became defensive and sternly replied, “It doesn’t matter, because what matters is that you guys are checking out on the 2nd.” His response clearly showed that he did not appreciate being corrected and could have simply acknowledged the information instead of responding in such an unprofessional manner. Another issue involved a black young lady at the Front Desk. She informed us that we were only allowed one towel per person and that if we needed additional towels, there would be an extra charge. We found this policy unreasonable, especially for hotel guests who may need fresh towels during their stay. Overall, our experience with the Front Desk staff was disappointing. Customer service should be courteous, respectful, and helpful, but that was not the experience we had during our stay. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel and would not stay here again."

"Lovely small hotel in a side street and walkable to some of the sights. The rooms are large, a bit sterile, but the bathroom was great with all the amenities one could want. The breakfast buffet was delightful in a wonderful setting and with great food and attention of the server. The front desk staff did not seem overly welcoming but warmed up in the days we stayed there. There is a restaurant attached to the hotel and the food there is excellent; so is the wait staff. We had dinner, and sometimes even lunch, there a lot. Good wine selection as well. Our room was cleaned every day, no complaint there. The bed was huge and comfortable. And of course there is a safe in the room. We definitely would stay at that hotel again if we can manage another trip to Rome. Don't forget to bring a converter with you, the rooms do not have USB plugs."
