"Where to start!
Once a year I take a trip on my own to get away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. I have done this for the last four years and I have naturally stayed in hotels around the world. These hotels have mostly been of a somewhat high price range. But I have never had an experience like this.
From the moment I was greeted at the reception it was evident that this stay would be something special. This was before I found out that they hade upgraded my basic room to a junior suite. The room was fantastic! Every little detail was of the highest quality. Not only one person but two came up with my luggage and to help me settle in. From that point on absolutely everyone I dealt with were extremely helpful and not least very nice.
This is not always the case. It is a 5* hotel, and you really can’t take this kind of service and friendliness for granted. It is very obvious that service and friendliness is of the highest priority of the management in this property.
So my four night stay turned out to be the best I ever had. My every whim was promptly catered to.
I have not even mentioned the spa yet! This part of the hotel will get its own review, but I still have to say that Sanaz gave me the best massage I have had in my life. My problems with my neck is gone! I can’t believe it!
She also gave me a facial with before and after products that absolutely amazed me.
So I spent most of my time there in the hotel. I have been in Rome several times before, so my priority became recharging my batteries.
Room service was wonderful so quite a few of my meals came from there.
I admit I can get abit emotional, so when I checked out I almost started crying because of this fantastic stay.
This is obviously not the cheapest hotel you can stay in. But depending on what your needs are, you get what you pay for. At the Intercontinental Ambasciatory (Spelling) you do get so much more.
So now I’m home again, my clothes are a bit more tight that when I started my stay. And I can’t believe safely say that I have found my home away from home. I will be back next year, if not before. Thank you everyone for taking so good care of me!"
