Grand Hotel di Lecce

"We've just spent 10 nights in this hotel. The breakfast food was far from fresh. The scrambled egg was burnt most days or soggy other days. Tinned fruit and pastries that tasted like they were left over from the previous day. The evening buffet was so bad that the amount of food left over on plates was shocking. There was no lunch available when we enquired even though we were told it was available, The pool was so cold it was empty thd whole time. Around the pool area there was ants everywhere. The room air conditioner was not set individually and it was so hot at night we were unable to sleep. We were advised to leave the window open,in which we done. The next morning both of us were covered in mosquito bites. The last day we were there ,we had no hot water at all. We did complain to management and we received a small discount off our bill. I would not recommend this hotel af all. It is not a 4 star hotel by no means. "

"Fairly average but clean hotel but a good location between two small, but charming villages. Lovely restaurants in Santa Maria Al Bagno and the promenade walk to Santa Caterina was lovely too. Breakfast is not good…tinned fruit, burnt scrambled eggs and some mornings there was a real lack of pastries - not really acceptable at a 4 star. It’s like the food was sometimes left out for day two if it wasn’t finished the previous morning. Spa is fairly poor and small. Good location though but you need a car to travel around and it’s paid parking at €10/day."

"Nice 4-star hotel perfectly located next to the sea in a lovely little seaside resort town, not far from Gallipoli. Rooms are clean and functional. The breakfast buffet is good, there is a pool and a small private beach (but no sand) just across the street. The parking lot in the back is perfect, the reception staff was very nice and professional, housekeeping and breakfast team as well. Bartenders maybe a little less so though, and as I always dined outside, I couldn't rate the restaurant."
