"Good Location. The hotel entrance is bright, polished with some impressive chandeliers. However we booked a superior room and a standard Premier Inn is better - it was small, and stuffy with only an internal window which was a bit claustrophobic. There are heat and air con controls in the room but the temperature is set centrally so bit pointless. We asked that the heating be reduced and that an engineer check the aircon which was noisy but the noise did not abate and the room remained unpleasantly hot the whole trip. The bed was clean and comfortable and the shower powerful - cleaning staff polite and friendly. The fridge did not work well and the milk went off within 24 hrs. Breakfast food quality was good and varied but when busy they ran out of cups for coffee and bowls too and we had to wait a good while as they tried to keep up with the washing up. They had dairy and non dairy milk options. The dining room chairs were in dire condition - see photo. Staff were of two camps - some really lovely and friendly or cool and officious which was a shame as we did tend to just put up with what we were dealt with re the room. We heard another couple complaining to reception of their room too. We went with three other couples - and all our experiences of the rooms varied - one couple having no bedside lamps and extremely cramped room and another being really pleased with a spacious, airy one. Personally we wouldnt stay again - the hotel needs to gain some uniformity in quality control."

"Had a satisfactory stay at this hotel. Nothing special but the location is very central for the city: a few minutes walk from St Stephen's Basilica. Impressive externally with a rather curiously designed interior. A long passageway, with comfortable seating, led to the reception desk, where I was surprised to find that payment was required in advance, although this seems is be increasingly common in many hotels. My standard double room was on the small side but contained plenty of cupboard space (a rarity nowadays). The double bed was two single beds put together and was comfortable. Bathroom was also fairly small but had a good, efficient shower. Room safe and fridge. One of the most important benefits is that the room was very quiet. Having stayed in some very noisy hotel rooms, that was most welcome. Wi-fi was good. Air conditioning could not be controlled other than switching it on or off if necessary, which I often did. Breakfast was of a good standard with a decent variety of hot and cold items. The hotel restaurant didn't appear particularly inviting (no menu shown) and appeared to have few customers. The rooftop terrace provides good views of the city."

"Couldn't ask for better! We booked a hotel with British Airways as was a good price. The President Hotel has a grand entrance, leading to reception. We were made to feel welcomed and given vouchers for complimentary drinks at the roof bar. We headed to our room, and ours didn't have an outside view but had a window regardless, looking out on the hallway/foyer, which had a skylight. The roof bar has some stunning views, I believe you can eat up there too, just a shame you can't go up there first thing in the morning. They have a restaurant on the ground floor and breakfast in the basement. The breakfast was a buffet style offering hot and cold, and the toaster took forever. Staff were really friendly. The location was great too, metro was close plus river in easy walking distance. The Wifi was good. They also had a gym."
