Located along Andrássy Avenue only a short walk from the ruin bars of District VII, it’s a fantastic base for making the most of the city’s buzzing cultural scene.

The friendly staff on the 24-hour reception desk have a wealth of local knowledge, so if you’re looking for the best spots – especially the hidden gems that might not appear in the tourist guides – make sure you stop by for a chat. Before you head out in the morning, visit the buffet breakfast to set yourself up nicely for a bit of sightseeing.

When it’s time to turn in, you’ll have a quiet, cosy room to return to, with a comfy bed, Wi-Fi and a flatscreen television. Adjustable air-conditioning means you can set a temperature that’s just right for you, whether you're visiting in summer or winter.

What Medosz Hotel has to offer

    District VII

The Six Inn Hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from District VII. Also known as Erzsébetváros, it’s famed for its rich history, especially within the Jewish Quarter, where you’ll find Dohány Street Synagogue, the largest one in Europe. Today, it blends history with a lively nightlife through its notorious ‘ruin bars’, which are eclectic drinking spots often housed in dilapidated pre-war buildings. Wander around and you’ll discover all kinds of colourful street art, quirky shops, and boho-chic cafes.

    Hungarian State Opera

Built in the 1800s with a stunning neo-Renaissance style, the Hungarian State Opera is a feast for the senses. With top-notch acoustics and lush red and gold interiors, it draws world-famous performers throughout the year. Offering everything from classic operas to modern concerts, it’s an important fixture in Hungary’s vibrant cultural scene, and only five minutes on foot from the hotel.

    City of Spas

Budapest sits on a myriad of hot springs, which has created a bathing tradition that dates back to Roman times. The best-known baths are Széchenyi and Gellért, with Széchenyi the nearest to Medos Hotel, only 10 minutes by public transport. They provide a blend of relaxation and socialisation, with therapeutic waters rich in minerals, celebrated for their healing properties. Spend an afternoon immersing yourself in the soothing waters and you’ll leave feeling on top of the world.
