"We had a lovely time at the Nemzeti Hotel. Staff were very helpful and super professional. A massive thanks to Dori, she was very attentive during the breakfast service on all 4 days. She ensured I was given a meat free option for the hot breakfast, and always made sure things were top quality! We even asked her for recommendations for sightseeing. Dori took her time out to talk us through this, and this is exactly what we did. Jazmin, Evan and the kind gentleman on evening shifts were also fabulous. The hotel itself is at a great location, 5 minutes walk from the ruin bars, and quick places to eat. Fantastic for tram use, metro and buses- just walk outside the hotel its all there. Also a good shopping centre opposite the hotel, if anything is needed. The only downfall we had was the sliding door to the accessible room, which was heavy and came away twice. Luckily staff sorted this very quickly. Overall, excellent location, tasty breakfast, calm environment and very clean. Definitely recommend! Thanks Nemzeti Hotel!"

"Glad that we picked this hotel. Fantastic location, with the tram and metro right at the front of the hotel, and New York Café only a few minutes’ walk away. I really enjoyed the hotel’s history and all the little touches that made our stay and the overall experience so memorable. Breakfast was fantastic — so much choice and really good quality produce. The à la carte omelette was especially good! Yazmin was lovely at breakfast, and a special shout-out to Dorottya. She was incredibly friendly and professional, and we really enjoyed our chats with her and hearing all the stories she shared about the hotel’s history. We also had dinner in the hotel one evening and the burger was amazing. I also really liked the story behind one of the desserts — those little details really added to the experience. One thing I wouldn’t recommend, though, is the Széchenyi Thermal Bath. We found it very overcrowded, quite run down in places and packed with people. The water also didn’t look particularly clean when we visited, which made it difficult to really relax and enjoy the experience. Would definitely stay again in the hotel if visiting Budapest!"
