Hotel Mika Downtown

"Very good stay in an extremely spacious apartment room. Staff were friendly and helpful especially cleaners that came in every morning. Breakfast was okay typical European cooked breakfast, pastries, fresh juices etc. Well decorated bar by the reception desk and a complimentary drink for each hotel guest. The hotel has a very central location just a short walk from most of Budapest's popular sights, the surrounding area was a little run down but it seemed they were doing improvement works to the roads so that may have given that impression. Along with this really good value for money."

"As I was walking to the hotel in the dark I was thinking to myself: where the hell have I booked? As a solo female traveller I did not feel safe walking in the empty side street, with construction work that blocked off some paths. Then I walked into reception, and again, it didn't look that great. I got the lift to the third floor and then had stairs to climb, and with luggage, I thought to myself "come on, really?" But you know what, it was all worth it for the breakfast. It is out of this world! If you have a sweet tooth like me, you are in heaven. Pancakes and waffles and a chocolate fountain are the first things I saw, and my eyes lit up. There are also croissants, pastries, mini muffins and a fridge with different cakes. But if you don't like to have a sweet breakfast, there is also a cooked breakfast, with sausages, scrambled eggs and beans. There is a selection of warm bread, cold meats and cheese, tomatoes, cucumber, olives, boiled eggs...there really is something for everyone. And the rooms are very well decorated. There is a tv, a kettle, a coffee machine with complimentary coffee pods and tea bags. The bed was very comfortable. In the shower room there is a hair dryer and complimentary shampoo and body lotion. It was well worth the stay."

"We had a great 4 night break here.Friendly efficient staff and super breakfast.Our room was comfortable, great shower and clean towels daily..super location with many bars and restaurants nearby and we did not notice any noise.there is building work going on opposite the hotel, but again no intrusive noise.Make sure you visit the secret museum linked to the hotel…thanks to all staff!"
