"We stayed here for 4 nights and what a surprise this hotel was. It was conveniently located just off the main Vaci Street with plenty restaurants and bars. It is 2 minutes walk from The Great Market Hall, Liberty Bridge and the Danube. Cross the Liberty Bridge and you are in the Buda side and you can climb up Gellert Hill to see beautiful views of the city. You also can walk over to the Buda Castle and really spend a whole day exploring this area. We could not have asked for a better base. The hotel itself is stunning. There are 7 floors with 5 rooms on each floor and 2 penthouses at the top. The hotel is spotless, there is a lovely little bar near reception where you can sit and rest your feet before going to your room. The staff are so friendly and helpful and gave us plenty of information about what was in the area and a map for us to look at.
We got the 100E bus from the airport which cost €6pp and took maybe 20 minutes. The hotel is about a 10 minutes walk from the bus stop - if even that. You can arrange to get a Bolt from the airport to the hotel if you would prefer. We used Bolt to get to the airport after checkout at it was very late at night and it cost €25 which was perfectly fine.
We did not have breakfast included but you could have had it added for €14pp which was good value but we choose to eat outside of the hotel which was a lot more expensive in some places.
There are numerous places to eat nearby, we went to Hugo's Mexican the first night as it was only 2 minute walk from the hotel and it was recommended. It was good . We would recommend Ristorante Colosseum Italian Restaurant again about 2 minutes walk from the hotel - the meal was so nice and the staff were so friendly. We also went to Chin Chin Izakaya and we absolutely loved it. The duck dumplings were unreal. This is situated inside a courtyard which has serval restaurants and bars and has the most wonderful atmosphere. We were sorry we only found it by chance on the last night as it was definitely somewhere where we would like to have stayed longer. We also went and had food at Karavan which is directly next door to Szimpla Kert, the city's most famous ruin bar. It has about 8 food trucks and 3 bars and the food is was absolutely delicious and had such a good vibe. Loved it.
We had the most wonderful stay in the Charm Hotel, we did so much in the 4 nights but we will most definitely be back as there is so much more to see and do."
