Basiliq Hotel

"Basiliq Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed in in recent years. Obviously, as the building's conversion from it's former use is recent, it feels fresh and new. However, the housekeeping team work flat out to keep the place feeling pristine. As others have mentioned, the breakfast room gets a little congested, but it works well within the constraints of the building structure. The Basiliq's location is 10/10. The hotel's room sizes and decor is 10/10. The breakfast selection - which changed slightly daily - is 10/10. I particularly enjoyed having Langos for breakfast on our last morning, and the baked eggs with zucchini. We had room 307 (1307?) and the bathroom was calm, spacious, sophisticated, and sexy. Every little detail of the bathroom design, especially the motion sensor lighting, was top notch. The bedroom decor hadn't appealed to me in photos, but made perfect sense in reality. Everything feels classic and luxurious. Special mention to Davide on reception, who was an absolute joy to speak to. If I have one little niggle with this hotel, it's that I wish the team were a little more confident. They're a new, mostly young team, who don't quite realise how good they are yet. That will come with time, but please take it from an old travel professional, you're doing a great job. I'm really impressed by the hotel, the services, and the hard working team from reception, to the bar, to breakfast, to housekeeping, and wish you every success for the future."

"My friend booked this for 4 of us for her 50th and honestly the reception staff especially david couldn't do enough for us. Our room was a suite for the 4 of us and was not cramped at all with a king-size, double sofa bed and a single camp bed which had fantastic mattresses. The bathroom was glorious with double sinks and a large shower, however our only criticism was the rain shower didnt work as water only came out of half of it. Breakfast was divine with so much to choose from and every taste catered for. So super clean and the location....what can I say...opposite the basicilla. Would more than highly recommend this hotel for central location, friendly staff and beautiful bedroom. The welcome drink was also a lovely touch"

"We have travelled alot but this waa one of rhe best hotels we have stayed on. Location is 10/10 amd the rooms were spacious and clean with room service 2nd to none. Botond in particular offered services above and beyond and went out of his way to help us out. This has to be one of my best stays away. I would come back to Budapest just to stay here again. Thank you for such an amazing time!!"
