Contemporary cool in Budapest

Just a short stroll from the banks of the Danube, Alta Moda Hotel by Mellow Mood Hotels is in the bustling centre of Budapest – making it a great pick for a break to the city. It’s got great public transport links on the doorstep, too, with buses, trams, and metros all within five minutes’ walk.

A visit here wouldn’t be complete without a trip to Buda Castle. Whether you stroll the 30 minutes across the river and up the hill, or take advantage of the buses and funiculars to deposit you at the palace, be sure to make time for this impressive Baroque landmark.

What Alta Moda Hotel by Mellow Mood Hotels has to offer

    Gellért Thermal Baths

Budapest is famed for its bathhouses, and you'll be just 10 minutes' stroll from one of the city's favourites. The art-nouveau Gellért Thermal Bath was built in the early 20th century and offers indoor and outdoor pools, saunas, and steam rooms – get ready to relax.

    Great Market Hall

Standing on the banks of the river since the late 1800s, Budapest's Great Market Hall is one of the oldest (and best) markets in the city. As well as being a neo-Gothic architectural wonder, it's packed to the rafters with stalls and traders selling everything from spices and cheeses to souvenirs.

    Public transport

Getting around will be a cinch thanks to the handy public transport links within a stone's throw of the hotel. Tram? Two minutes' walk away. Metro? Just four minutes' walk. Whether you're heading across the river to the castle or to the steamy surroundings of Széchenyi Thermal Bath, you'll manage it with ease.
