Porto Planos Beach Hotel

"If I was to fully express my views and opinions we’d be here all day. Definitely did not expect such shabbiness from a so called 4Star hotel. The issues raised in my photos have been reported by other travellers - yet still nothing has been done about it. Also there was NO reception cover when we arrived, it was empty with only a note at the desk saying “please go to our sister hotel up the road for any help. They admitted when asked why no one was there, it won’t have any support until beginning of June, but when they finally got someone for reception (the day before we left) - they couldn’t understand a word of English!!! Also the two pool bars (which are advertised looking lovely) were also closed and the pools were dirty on the bottom. Again, receptionist when approached for the third time said “no, sorry these are not available yet & the pools are cleaned daily”. Not very well by the looks of it, rust like debris was particularly bad in the 1st floor pool. The hotel was like a ghost town and pretty well soul-less! If you get given room 518 - unlucky, but al least you’ll be able to see the state it’s in when reviewing this. One only plus point, the cleaning/maid staff were excellent!! EasyJet will be receiving a major complaint as we paid a lot of money for the holiday. Shockingly poor!!!"

"We had a fabulous 7-night stay in August and couldn’t fault a thing. Our shower had a small issue on the first evening, but this was resolved immediately by maintenance staff. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, with an excellent choice of hot and cold dishes. We chose to take breakfast in the sister hotel across the road, although a smaller restaurant is also available here. The staff were polite and welcoming, and the hotel was kept immaculately clean throughout our stay. The location is perfect, just steps from the beach and only minutes from the many restaurants, bars and shops on the main Tsilivi strip. We would definitely stay here again!"

"I've taken One month to think about my review,hope it helps.On arrival we we met(Not welcomed)by a receptionist who was only interested in extracting 140 euro at a rapid rate of knots.I am not a seasoned traveller, however, I would recognise a Five star hotel.Porto Planos at a push would rate at Three.The room,although small, was comfortable The Balcony is very small.Comparable to a box of Swan Vesta matches.Food was eaten at a sister hotel,a short hop across a road.Food was cooked fresh and was excellent.Cleaners are fantastic and left our room spotless each time. Would I stay again?.No."
