"INCREDIBLE, we loved our stay in Zakynthos and both say the hotel was a highlight.
All the staff are really friendly and helpful. Didn't have a single negative experience with anybody. Good staff really make or break a good experience I find. they really went out of their way to make sure you had everything you needed. We got to the hotel early around 1pm but checkin was at 3pm. you get instant access to the facility, including food, drinks and the pool with your all inclusive wrist bands and the room was ready early at 2:30. That was a big plus for us.
Our room was incredible. I highly recommend getting the swim up sharing rooms instead of the private pools. The shared longer pool with the swim up rooms weren't much more than a regular room price wise when booking on the website. The location of them is fantastic as well, you get a full view of the beach and sun set/sun rise from the pool and it gets the best sun as well. We saw the private pool rooms in the separate building with the spa. while it's probably quieter you're mostly in the shade with those rooms and you don't get the great view, since our room was still a shared pool it was very long and most of the time we had the pool to ourselves anyway. The hotel shared pool closes at 7pm while the swim up rooms are accessible all day and night. There are cute lights that come on after 8pm. You get the best sun from 7am-2pm but after a hot day at the beach or exploring coming back to a shaded pool was incredible. We could not stop talking about how much we loved our room and the pool. During twilight hours the pool was so beautiful and again i recommend upgrading to the shared pool and not the private pools. The Private pools have partitions so you cant swim along but the wall is only the height of the water so you'd still be able to see everyone, the location also means everyone traveling to and from the hotel has a view of your pool.
You have direct access from the hotel to the beach in front, although not a private beach it's still nice to have direct access. There are umbrellas and chairs, I had assumed they were part of the hotel but you will get a man come over and charge you for them, we only saw him on Saturday afternoon and he's not there all the time, so on quite evenings or mornings you have access to those but its not guaranteed. The beach is gorgeous, sandy and clear blue water. Even on a Saturday I didn't feel it got too busy or crowded and it was amazing to wake up and go straight to the beach. There is a beach bar and restaurant but it's not included in the all inclusive, however there are multiple bars in the resort which are easy to access.
The hotel in general had some gorgeous views of the sunset and sunrise. I saw so many people take photos on the beach, it's great to see people enjoying themselves. The rooftop bar was such a beautiful view for the sunset and the wind felt amazing. The restaurant is in a separate building with a snack bar and then rooftop bar. Honestly so much nicer than photos and I felt so relaxed the entire time I was there.
We also visited the spa, it was only £20PP for two hours and since we went Saturday afternoon while everyone was at the beach we had the whole place to ourselves. The staff were also incredible and friendly, you get a cup of tea and some sweets with your visit. Robes and towels were also provided. There is a nice warm pool, jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, storm shower and ice sink. Time flew by and my skin felt great.
The food was buffet style for every meal, i dont mind that personally but I did expect some set menu evenings. There were different themes for dinner every day and then they did greek food saturday. I'm a fussy eater and the meat was cheap or not well cooked, at least for my standards. Buffet all inclusives can be on the cheap side food wise. I ate chips most days and we both agreed the food was probably one of the only low lights but that being said it was still nice, lots of options and the breakfast was amazing! The best poached eggs I ever had in my life. And YES they had a cool toast maker, love seeing those on holiday. There are information posters all over the hotel clearly showing meal times and dinner themes, very helpful and you get a good few hours for each meal so the restaurant is never too busy as people do spread out. There was pretty much always ice cream and chips available. There were both indoor and outdoor seating options, beware of wasps when outside.
The only negative we had was how loud the hallway was near our room, the walls were quite thin, presumably because of the heat, and the hallway doors were always open on both sides. A lot of people pass through for their rooms or just to and from place and it echoes like crazy. There is a little games room near the corridor and you can hear people playing ice hockey till quite late. The game room closes at 11pm but when you're exhausted from traveling and want to sleep it's horrendously loud. I do think it was worth putting up with the noise for how nice the room and pool was. If you want somewhere quieter I'm sure there are plenty of options but we didn't want to give up the pool room. The rooms all have an aircon and stay very cool. I couldn't figure out how to work the aircon or heater but you don't need to. There is always a fantastic selection of tea and coffee around the hotel and the room has a kettle, you also get a little shower gel set. The shampoo and conditioner was fantastic and well needed, it even came with an extra suncream and you can request more if needed, as we did.
I drank mostly pina collada the entire time, bar staff were always friendly. It wasn't on the menu but they made it for me anyway and they always tasted fantastic."
