Zante holidays

A sleepy seaside village on Zante

If you dream of closing your eyes and hearing nothing but the lapping of waves and some occasional birdsong, then Kypseli holidays will appeal to you. Located on Zante’s eastern coast, surrounded by olive groves and verdant countryside, Kypseli remains more undiscovered than some of the island’s busier resorts. With its cute churches, quaint villas with shuttered windows and rustic tavernas, this sleepy village is all about charm.

The local beaches are equally unspoiled, including nearby Amoudi, which is a narrow sandy strip with crystal-clear water perfect for snorkelling. If, after a long day of relaxing, you fancy a little more hustle and bustle, then head for the bars and clubs of the popular resort of Tsilivi just a short drive away. If you’re a family in need of relaxation, or a couple looking to escape the crowds, then holidays to Kypseli are a wonderful choice.

Best things to do in Kypseli

Find secret beaches

Follow the coast and you’re sure to stumble across several secret beaches, set against fragrant pine forests. Nearby Drosia and Akrotiri beaches have sunloungers and other facilities.

Visit a vineyard

Zante has been famed for its winemaking since the 17th century, and most vineyards are on its east coast. The island’s best-known tipple is Verdea – a tangy white wine.

Buy local crafts

While Kypseli isn’t a major shopping destination, there are a handful of bijou craft shops that sell local olive oil, wine, souvenirs and bespoke leather goods.
